I heard about Duncan's appearance at the "Vogue Takes Over Beverly Hills" even through the duncan-discuss list. Anyway, I took two friends with me who aren't fans but they are good friends so that's why they went. After seeing Duncan perform, they both really liked him a lot more. My guy friend enjoyed "That Says It All" and the girl who was with me thought "Wishful Thinking" was good. It was nice to see them enjoy the show. I was so excited to be there I almost couldn't take it since we were so close up. I thought it was a really cool experience to see Duncan live. He is unlike many artists because he sounded great live. It is like every song is heard in more detail. All the little different tones in his voice are heard, and the guitars were wonderful. The fact that he has a female percussionist absolutely rocks. I think my favorite song of that performance was "Nothing Special" because for one thing the words are so cool but for another thing, Duncan seemed to enjoy playing that song. He smiled every once in a while and such. That was neat. I also thought "Rubbed Out" sounded great too. I had the opportunity to meet Duncan breifly after the show along with my two friends. I brought my "Humming" CD with me and also had "Humming Along" in the case for some reason. Duncan signed the CD cover for me which was totally nice and I got a picture with him. He was gracious when I bugged him a third time to take a picture with my friends. The fact that he sounded wonderful live as did his back-up guys, and the fact that he was as nice as everyone says in person gets him a 10. I look forward to the next time I see Duncan live and hopefully I'll be able to say something more to him than, can you sign my CD. Maybe we could talk for a minute. That is, if I can get over being beyond nervous about seeing him so up close. Thanks Duncan for making my day every time I see my picture and for that day. It was a lot of fun. All my best to everyone, Rabiah
