I saw Duncan for the first time on Nov. 3 at the Paradise in Boston. I must say that the show was
absolutely amazing.

I was lucky enough to get right up front, robably less than twelve feet away from Mr. Sheik. He
played all of my favorite songs from both albums, plus "Wishful Thinking" from the Great
Expectations soundtrack. Duncan was very personable and adorable, not to mention incredibly
talented as a live musician.

The show began with "Rubbed Out" and ended with "House Full of Riches" (the second encore)
which provided excellent bookends to a great show. A solo guitar beginning on "In The Absense of
Sun" gave me goosebumps while an encore of "Home" almost brought me to tears. He took the
keyboard for "Varying Degress of Con-Artistry," delivering an awesome live performace of one of
Humming's most beautiful tracks. "Body Goes Down" and "Alibi" wowed the audience and "She
Runs Away" and "Nothing Special" rocked it. Even a less-than-enthusastic performance of "Barely
Breathing" -- a song which you can clearly tell Duncan loathes by now -- had the crowd rocking, as
did "Bite Your Tounge," his current single. The show was absolutely phenominal, cementing Duncan
in my mind, heart, and ears as one of my favorite muscians. I can't wait for the opportunity to see
him perform again.
