Does anyone else here listen to Sigur Ros? I am quickly becoming obsessed with this group. They're unbelievable! Unlike anything I've ever heard before! I could listen to their albums endlessly, I think... Anyone have any thoughts? I would HIGHLY recommend a quick download of one of their songs to check them out. And trust me, once you start, you can't stop! Wonderful!

everywhere lies within everyone,
Caitlin

I really like their music too, but I don't have the new cd yet. One of my friends saw them in Toronto Wednesday, and he said they were excellent!!

Friggin' awesome stuff. Get "Agaetis Byrjun" (the whole CD) and get "Von" too. "()" I haven't heard yet but I may buy it soon.

I tried to get into them with their last album, hearing they were sort of the new Talk Talk ( favorite of mine)...but I just couldn't get into it for some reason.

Talk Talk is one of my favorites EVER. I have Colour of Spring, Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock and Mark Hollis' self-titled.

I just ignored the comparisons when I listened to Sigur Ros quite frankly. I really didn't hear any other groups in them except maybe the Cocteau Twins.

andrew, I gotta agree...Talk Talk matured into an amazing group, considering it's sorta humble beginnings...I had that Hollis solo, but had to sell my cds at some point in the past (and again recently), so I lost it, dagnabbit.

I got a copy....in MP3 form.
Meaning, I really don't have a copy. Just MP3's of songs that make up the tracklisting of the album.

Ken, do you have Hotline (go to tucows.com and look for Hotline Client if you don't)? I think it would be easier (for me at least, not sure about your computer access) if I send it to a server I know about and have you download it there then trying to get in touch w/ you and sending it, etc.

BTW, my e-mail addy is gogadget112@aol.com. I would tell you the addy for the server here but I don't want a BUNCH of people jumping on there.

hey, andrew, thanks very much..I try to stay away from downloading music, for some stupid reason (stupid because I have been burning cds from friends like crazy, since I had to sell my cd collection again).

but thanks anyway!

I was in Tower a few days ago, and some really beautiful minimalistic eno-esque music was playing...I asked who it was...sure enuf, the new Sigur Ros! That alone made me want to get it.
