I am very serious about this and I am not crazy (well at least not when it comes to this) my house is haunted. Yeah yeah stop the eye rolls, I am serious. If anyone else can come up for explanations other than that of a ghostly nature that explains every single thing that has happen I might be willing to believe it. About 6 months ago I had done laundry, folded all neatly in a basket, I left the basket on the floor of the basement apartment and then I went outside to smoke. Now everyone else was in bed, and my dog can not get to the basement because there is a door we close, because it blocks the hallway when open. So after having my smoke I went downstairs to get the laundry to put it away and the clothes were no longer in the basket, they were thrown around the livingroom and the basket was upside down. We have lived in my house 18 years, and it is an old house so sometimes there are funny noises and there always have been but the past few weeks my dad has been woken up in the middle of the night by someone coughing, but the coughing comes from the landing at the top of the stairs and then there are heavy foot steps leading down the stairs, it is not any of us. Many times I have been sitting in the basement late at night watching TV and heard footsteps above me, but when I go to investigate no one is there. During the summer my mom was peeling potatoes in the kitchen, we have stainless steel pots and she could see a glowing red reflection in the pot, she turned around and our microwave was on and there was this red halo inside it, needless to say we got a new microwave. Ya’ll know what Glade Plug-Ins are, the things you stick in an outlet so the house smells nice, we had one in our entry way; one day my parents had went out and they dropped my brother off at work, I was sleeping and had not gotten up, when my parents came home the plug-in was no longer plugged in and was in the middle of the hallway. It was not near the socket it was down the hall, and we tested, my dog would not have been able to push against it and knock it out, you have to pull it straight out. My washroom is on the second floor, it is newly renovated and is just a very relaxing room, so I tend to take baths that last for hours, but at least once a week when I am in the tub the locked bathroom door flings open like someone has pushed it. I was in the kitchen cooking one evening and I looked up having heard a noise, the French doors that lead to our dining room were swinging back and forth. They are located near the air conditioner, however these doors were never cut properly and to close them you need to physically push them. I am almost always the last person to go to bed, this one night I went to bed around 1 am, and I remember tripping over the dog because I had turned off the lamp in the living room and had forgotten to turn on the hallway light, I remember the room was pitch black. The next morning when I came down stairs my parents were sitting on the couch and they both looked at me and asked why I turned the light on. I had no clue what they were talking about, when I looked the light in the china cabinet was on, the only time I have ever seen those lights on is around Christmas, and I personally have no clue how to turn them on. Other little odd happenings, we have electric fire alarms which are all wired together so when one alarm goes off they all do, the only problem is recently they have all been going off 2 or 3 times a day, my dad is an electrician and can not find anything wrong with the wiring and obviously my house is not on fire twice a day, and this happens when no one is cooking. I have also woken up in the middle of the night and felt like someone was on top of me, like almost smothering me pushing me into my bed, yet of course no one is there. There are also other little things, like when i am sure I have turned off the TV only to come back into the room and it be on again, the TV changing channels on its own. Certain things disappearing and then showing up in very odd places. When we first moved in our neighbor told us the house was haunted, but we just figured he was a nut job; the thing was he told us that the ghost lived in our second floor washroom, up until a couple years ago that washroom was never used, it was really gross and in need of renovating, it is since we renovated that these things have happened. We call him Harry, because after 18 years in our house we have started receiving mail from the federal government addressed to someone named Harry Johnson, who of course does not live in my house. Really, seriously dead serious. The other night, we have windchimes in against the second floor balcony door (because it was broken into last year) anyway two night ago the windchimes started moving at 1:30 am, there was no one breaking in and there was no wind, it woke us all up. IP: Logged |

Dude, that's majorly creepy. I got creeped out by my friend's ghost cat on several sleepover occasions.....Keep Harry away from me, unless he is a prince and has red hair. ![]() -steph IP: Logged |

Sounds very creepy girl. I would suggest maybe finding some info on this Harry person or any info about your house. I'm a huge love of ghost stories and love to ghost hunt. I know, I know I'm kind of odd but do some investigating, it might be able to clear some things up Aquagirl (Alma) IP: Logged |
