Okay, this kinda got started on my stressed out thread, but as most of you know I am going down to see Denise/Aileen in Texas in less then two weeks. I know there are some other Canadian's or people who have visited Canada around here (Tina you could probably be a huge help), I am trying think of things that we have in Canada that are not in the US...

I am going to take the kiddies some Canadian chocolate (not like we are some huge chocolate supplier) just Canadian chocolate tastes different (Better, not waxy) and we have some things that ya'll do not have, or at least you never had before, Smarties, coffee Crisp, Areo... Do ya'll have the cadbury line, like Diary Milk and so forth? I know we have both the British and Canadian made verisions and other than $ I do not know the difference.

Canadian ciggies taste different to, but I really do not think Denise lets the girls smoke since I know her hubby can not infront of them.

Other things we have here just would never make the trip, like beaver tails (not to worry they do not involve dead animals it is a pastry)...

Can anyone thing of anything else? And sorry Denise but I am talking littlish things, because I know our cars with the KM's are different, but I ain't bringing you one...

Oh man that just made me think, I guess I will have to keep in mind driving in miles, which should be okay in a rental car. I know I get damned confused driving my own car in the US.

I'm really going to think about this, Jenn. I'm sure I can come up with a few things that you all have here that aren't available in the States.
You have no idea how much I wish that I could go too...I miss Texas (a little). But you know I love it here in Canada.

I'll get back to you on what to take, but I expect to hear all about your Texas adventure. And watch that mph thing...it can be tricky. No loonies either -- real paper dollars.

Ketchup chips!
They don't get them anywhere in the States. Now, whether they liked them or not, is an entirely different matter.

Oh, if you're gonna do the chocolate thing, put Kindereggs on that list. That's another thing they don't get down there. The kids'll go crazy for them.

See I find Ketchup chips to be horribly gross, therefore would never have thought of it, but it is a great idea...

Yeah Tina I do not think it is the best idea to do like 120 when dealing with miles...

If Denise and her husband are coffee drinkers, you should definitely take them a can of Tim Horton's coffee. I have to take cans to all of my family members when I go back home to visit.
Motumbo took my idea...Kindersurprise. My kids think they are the best because they get candy AND a toy all in one package.
Jenn, good idea on all the chocolate. I can't remember if they sell Caramilk in the States or not, but those are big in my house.
You should take a Christie product. All the Christie products here are Nabisco there...same products though, (Oreo, crackers, etc.) different logo.
Did you know that Canadian Kellogg's Corn Pops are different that U.S. Corn Pops? It's true...you'll see.

Oh Timmy's coffee, what a great idea, personally I do not drink the stuff, but I hear it is delish (I prefer the English Toffee Cap's)...

I do not think i have ever eatten Canadian Corn Pops, so i am not sure I would know the difference...

Kellye,
You are obviously as confused as I was when I moved here. Smarties in Canada are sort of like M&M;'s (but Jenn will probably say they taste different than M&M;'s). Smarties in the U.S. are like sweetart things...like Canadian Rockets, right Jenn.

So there Kellye, Tina is very correct, Smarties are kinda like M&M;'s but yes they taste much much better... They are candy coated chocolate (YUMMMM)... And yes from the way Tina describes what ya'll call Smarties we call Rockets (the roll of little candies ya get at halloween?)
