I just picked up their CD "Valentino" this weekend and it is GRRRREEEAAAATTT! (Okay yeah I was hanging with Tony the Tiger too). Okay I admit I picked it up completly unknowing of their music, I have heard and enjoy the lead singer, Sarah Harmer, and I know the artist, who designed the artwork for this CD (the bass player, Sticky, is her sister) so I had to check it out. And as I said, first listen through and it is a solid CD. And for anyone who is looking for something "new" (it is an older CD, and they have since split up)I would highly recomend Weeping Tile, "Valentino".

I am horrible at catagorizing music, for me it falls into I like it, I love it, or the only way I could hate it more is if Britney Spears sang it.

The Calgary Sun said "The album's sound ranges from spiky punk, chugging rock to quiet and melodic country-styled pop."

I think, it is similar to a lot of Canadian music, a touch of folk, mixed with rock, and kinda this down home music (without being the extreme of any one genre). I read a reveiw that compared it greatly with Atom Egoyan's movie based on the Russell Banks' book "The Sweethereafter" which is so true, but then again it goes back to the small town Canadian theme.
