I know I'm not Fred, but earlier this evening, I received an e-mail from him. In the e-mail, Fred wanted me to relay his regards to everyone here on the message board. He apologizes for not posting here often, but he's been a busy working man. Although Fred has been busy working, he does miss us and wants to say "Hi" to everyone.

I do, though, want to mention to everyone here about Fred's graduation. Last week, he found out that he met all the components, and he can now consider himself a university graduate. Fred did very well on his thesis, which focused on alcohol and short-term memory. Having read and proofread Fred's thesis, I must say that he did an outstanding job, and I learned quite a bit from his work. Congratulations, Fred, for a job well done. That was pretty damn funky!

(sipping martini) Congratulations, ahhh, what was his name again? <J>

Fred's thesis sounds really interesting, do you think he would be willing to post it online for all to read, or it that just a bit too personal? I would love to read it, specially since you said it was so funky Richard...tell us, what did you learn?

MsD.: Gee, I feel like Fred's spokesman. Fred's thesis isn't personal, but its a scientific examination on the effects alcohol has on memormy. Whether Fred would be willing to share his thesis with others, that's entirely up to him. He allowed me to read his thesis, but that was mainly to proofread and make comments on his work (an interesting combination considering I was a history major). For others, I personally don't see where he would have problem with e-mailing his thesis to interested people, but since I'm not Fred, I'll let him answer that question himself.

As for what I learned, Fred's thesis taught me that people who abstain from drinking alcohol have low levels of Vitamin E. This also applies to teetotalers. Consequently, withouth Vitamine E, one's short-term and long-term memory are hindered. This doesn't mean that people who get plastered end up having better memory. On the contrary, the acute effect of alcohol seriously obstructs an individual's memory capability. The previous two statements may sound contradictory, but (if I can remember correctly) Fred's thesis showed that improved memory came to those people who drank socially, as opposed to those people who got all out hammered.

If Fred comes on and posts in the near future, he can probably clarify and correct my remarks. I have Fred's thesis on disc at home, but I was so busy with my own work that I haven't read it since February.

WOW...the things you learn everyday
I had to ask my hubby what a teetotaler was LOL...I think I fall in that category as I am lucky to drink maybe once or twice a year. Thx Richard, me thinks I shall start to sip a little bit then

Fred! If you are reading I would like to read your thesis please (pretty pretty...I like to read) and this subject is quite interesting as it is something that I never really gave any thought to before. I would be interested in knowing the 'how and why' of your even DOING a thesis like this, it's kind of like...revolutionary. Good on ya!

I miss you too, Steph. We'll have to get our schedules together and get online at the same time.

Awww, you guys.

I'm touched. Ok, I'm not a softie, but it's always nice to know that you are missed. I'm rakin' in the cash, planning to buy a house a car and whatnotelse. I just need a couple of kids, a dog and an estate.

As Richard mentioned I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. You're all a great bunch of people, love you all loads.

With regards to my thesis MsDMeanor, I don't have it online, but if Richard still has it he may, if he wants to, e-mail it to you.

And I have to say that I'm so pleased that I graduated, what a relief that was.

Talk to you guys soon.
Love Fred.
