Hello everyone, I'm new and stuff as if you couldn't tell. I love Jeff Buckley's music, he was a great musician and singer, and it's a shame he passed on cause I think he would have gotten really big. So, are there any Jeff fans here?? If so what's your favorite song?? Mine is "Lover, Should've come over" from the Grace album...peace. IP: Logged |

Ya know - I was listening to Grace just the other day and was thinking "this guy only had a chance to really complete this one record." But at the same time, from start to finish, he takes you through every extreme imaginable - musically and emotionally - to where I feel completely spent after listening to it as a whole. I'm like "wow - I don't need to listen to ANY music for the rest of the day..." A shooting star on a fading sunset for sure - a huge loss - very sad. Shari IP: Logged |

I like Jeff Buckley very much. I bought "Letters for My Sweetheart the Drunk" for my boyfriend not too long ago and he let me borrow "Grace". He also has the DVD. It's nice to be able to see him perform live on it, considering we will never be able too now. IP: Logged |

yep. here I am. I love JB. Thanks to the mb people around here, I checked him out. His stuff is amazing. Great voice, great talent. Just great. I have Grace and Sketches for My Sweetheart. I love both, but Grace a little more.-steph IP: Logged |

Grace is my favorite cd too. But I love "everybody here wants you" off of sketches...I think Wolfspirit put it best about grace, it takes you through every extreme, especially emotionally. That's some of the greatest music i think I've ever heard honestly. IP: Logged |

I think everyone knows I am a huge Buckley fan (tho I haven't been in here in awhile)....and I mean huge...did anyone catch Hallelujah in the season finale of West Wing? Favorite? Grace, to be sure...but Live at the Sine E is also wonderful...and Everyone Here Wants you is enough to pay for the whole My Sweetheart the Drunk. How is everyone? IP: Logged |

Agree with several people! "Everybody Here Wants You" is my standout fave - no doubt. I also enjoy the DVD "Live In Chicago..." I was wondering if anyone else had other DVD's or video tapes? Hi Ken! Just wanted to say hello... IP: Logged |

I am so glad that Duncan's appreciation for Jeff Buckley led me to buy Grace, it is an amazing musical experience. I can play Grace all day, every day and still be amazed at how incredible it is musically and lyrically. "Lover", "Grace" (especially the live version), and "So Real" in particular hit home with me. Hi everyone. yes I too am a huge Buckley fan. Love him. Cant get enough. Am I the oldest one here? I see you ken. Dont let his small numbers fool you, newbies. That there is a dangerous man. He may look 30, but trust me, its just a facelift. Hi wolfie, hi snail. Guess Im not the only elder... Anyway, back to topic. Jeff kicks major ass. Now and forever more. IP: Logged |

I can only imagine how busy you are right now, Ken. Do you know what part of DC your moving to right now? I actually will be working in DC this summer, and possibly for next year if everything works out well with a job interview I have tomorrow. Let us know how everything works out, we hope to hear from you soon! ![]() Richard IP: Logged |

Ken, don't know if you like John Mayer or not, but I met a John Mayer fan in the DC area. She is really nice and has been to several JM concerts...Anyway, I'm not on the topic....um...the topic..oh yeah. Jeff Buckley. Anyone know where I can find live cds other than Mystery White Boy?-steph IP: Logged |

My wife will be working in McLean, but we don't know exactly where we are going to live yet, we are flying out in a few weeks to look at some more houses. I think I have a live one or two I can burn for you...was it snail that asked? Email me at kenmeyerjr@cox.net with your info. and hey, rich, we will have to get together once we get settled. Absolutely Ken, we definitely have to get together when you take care of everything on your end. I had an interview yesterday with the Continuing Legal Education Department at Georgetown Law School, and if I get the job, I'll be in the DC area working from now until September 2003 when I start law school (long story as to why I'm not starting this September). Right now, I do work in the DC area, but its only a temporary position that lasts until August. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Duncan's new CD is slated for an October release, so depending on where in the DC area your moving to, you might want to familiarize yourself with Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD or the Birchmere (sp?) in Alexandria, VA. These are two places that Duncan frequently performs at when he goes on tour, although I will venture a guess that the Birchmere might be your best bet. Richard IP: Logged |

If you like Buckley, you should check out a songwriter called Daniel G. Harmann. His website is: http://www.hellotower.com. Very similiar in style with Jeff, and Duncan. Word. IP: Logged |

Spring is right. 9:30 Club is the best venue in the area. I've only been 5 or 6 times, but I love the place. I go to shows every week, and it's by far the best place that I've been. IP: Logged |

I've become a jeff Buckley fan within the past 6 months...He's amazing. the Chicago DVD is so damn intense and at times hilarious. Its such a shame that his talent was taken away from the world. My first song was Last Goodbye and had the same affect on me as Duncan's Barely Breathing. Hallelujah is my sentimental fav. IP: Logged |
