Ya, I noticed Texas gets left out alot with concerts. Pete Yorn is going to be in Dallas on May 14 at the Granada Theater. Tickets are on sale through ticketmaster. I am in the Dallas area are you close by Cyndi? Would love someone to go see Duncan with. The only reason my hubby is taking me to see Pete is because it is our wedding anniversary that night. I saw Guster last year in Fort Worth, a company that I was part owner in at the time( I no longer have anything to do with that company), co-sponsered the concert with the now defunct Merge 99. They were great, would have liked to see them again, oh well.

Hey Aileen! Well, I wish I was closer by, I'm in Houston.

What's this about Pete Yorn passing through TX and not coming here? I see a pattern developing and I'm not happy I'm even more bummed out than before. No fair (sob).

Enjoy the show, Aileen Happy Anniversary, too

I actually live in Houston and John Mayer was here a couple of weeks ago but I wasn't even aware of it. If you want info on what bands are coming, just go to Citysearch.com and into Houston and it lists all the bands that come through here, even in the small venues like Numbers where he came

John Mayer was in Birmingham headlining the crawfish broil like yesterday. But, I think I'd rather go see Bryan Adams.

(I'm fighting the urge to beat Kellye over the head with a crawfish) Kellye, my dear, dear girl. Bryan Adams is not even as close to being hottt as John is, plus, is Bryan funny? John rocks! Oh, and so does Pete! yey!

Here is my John Mayer story, I bought my John Mayer CD, what feels like ages ago, at the time I paid $24.99 not including taxes, which here is 15%, which was fine, the store only had one single copy and it was priced the same in like three different stores. So today I went to buy a copy for my bestfriends birthday, there were like a whole bunch on display and they were $16.99. You know I always figured the older a CD gets the less copies a store has and the more it costs, but no not in Jennifer Land...

oh, I saw Pete live too. Once they got the sound fixed half way through the first song, it was all good. mmmm....love a man who can wail on a harmonica. And he's not bad to look at either.
Rock on!

I want to fly to LA to see him in June, that is sooo bad. LOL. I just downloaded the song Undercover off the Spider Man soundtrack. What an awesome song!!!! He didn't play it live in Dallas but I found out he did play it live in New Orleans the next night. Go to www.audiogalaxy.com to get it. I think it is one of his best songs so far. Steph want to go on a road trip?????

I'm going to the Houston show and may be able to drive to the Austin show. Darn school, i could also go to the Dallas show but not showing up for the first day of class could be hazardous to like my staying in the class. Darn those small journalism classes and so many journalism majors. Well gotta, go.. Will stare at my computer screen a bit longer before losing my sanity all over again..
See ya'll later

Sexy, handsome, intelligent...No I am not talking about myself again or Richard - the wonderful John Mayer...Oh it was good guys, despite the horrible conditions (it was about 200 degrees, standing room only, with other people pressed right against you) But John himself was soooo great, he is funny and even when he was not saying something funny his facial expressions are priceless, seriously his concert could be a Mastercard ad... Dinner: $33 Subway Fare: $6.75 Tickets: $15 John Mayers Expressions: PRICELESS

On a not so wonderful note, John's second song in the guy behind me passed out from the heat knocking over a bar table, smashing beer bottles in our foot space...And silly me wore really impractical shoes...No cuts luckily...

I would love to see him again, in my bedroom would not be a bad place!!

yeah...i used to see john mayer at coffee houses in atlanta just about 3 years ago...then he stepped up to open mics and then slowly small clubs...now he's selling out huge venues in minutes...this john mayer mania is kind of weird to me... i like it but it's still weird. i miss when john used to write his own emails to the mailing list. hehe.

i'm totally feeling ya on that, jenn. i was flipping through the latest people magazine yesterday and they had a picture of the two holding hands, strolling down the street together.

what's up with that? i guess she just gets on my nerves because it seems she's always with with the "it" guy of the moment.

does anyone else remember her being linked to ethan of survivor after he won the million? how in the world does that happen?

damn! she's so annoying it kills me.

There is just something about her that I see as trashy and very annoying, and as for her being singer, does that not require talent? Maybe that is why she is hanging with him, hoping some of his talent rubs off on her...I seriously wanted to puke when I opened my People

hehe. I have my copy already. I bought it last night at the concert. It was a fantastic show too. I got another shirt, Inside Wants Out, and a JM frisbee for my sister. I had a really good time. My friend Shahri and I went. The opening acts were really good and John played a good show as well. I get nervous when I see the same performer for a second time, but this show was at least as good as the first.

I saw him at a smaller venue in April which was cool, but this was cool too. I enjoyed both very much. The reviewer for the paper said they didn't like the improvisation, but I think that's part of the appeal at John's shows. I think it's cool when he just starts playing. It's fun, and it's different.
Shane, your story sounds kinda like all the times Duncan comes to Colorado. But I usually have a problem with making it to the show. I always seem to be busy or once I didn't have a car and no one else wanted to go....alas...well, maybe some day I will see Duncan live.
