"Girlfight" Star Busted for Girl Fight

Michelle Rodriguez is taking this whole Method Acting thing a bit too far. ok try to ignore the gossip columnist being not funny. it gets better.

The 23-year-old actress--who showed off her puglistic prowess in the star-making indie boxing saga Girlfight which is a great film btw and currently kicks ass onscreen in Resident Evil--was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly getting into some real-life fisticuffs with another woman in Rodriguez's Jersey City home. um. for those unfamiliar with the jersey terrain, jersey city is well, rough.

According to the police report, the 22-year-old woman--who refused to be identified but apparently lived with the actress keep this in mind folks. this is her roomie --accused Rodriguez of coming into one of the apartment's bedrooms and interrupting the other woman while she was lying in bed talking on the phone like a defenseless little animal.

For some reason left unexplained in the police report, Rodriguez forcibly disconnected the phone, landed a blow across the other woman's right eye and started pulling her hair. oh thats my girl. bust into your own apt and kick the ass of you roommate for no apparent reason. i smell a messy fucked up love triangle... When the woman tried to leave, Rodriguez blocked the door, and the woman apparently pulled a Mike Tyson on her and bit her on the arm. and speaking of tyson, someone needs to put the latina on zoloft or maybe her apt was just fung shui-ed incorrectly. The fountain on the north side of the apt! that induces calmness.

The tussle spilled onto the street, where the thespian, with fists clenched note non of that sissy girl slaps. this bitch plays tough., again allegedly pummeled the victim in the face and pulled her hair. The report stated that when police arrived on the scene, they witnessed Rodriguez threatening to get Resident Evil on the other woman, saying, "I'm going to beat you up if you don't leave." how elegant.

Rodriguez was charged with simple so what is a complex assault one ponders assault and one count of making a terrorist threat.wha? how did that sneak in there? is every act of violence a terrorist threat? She eventually entered a plea of not guilty and released on $2,500 bail. The actress was also taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment for the bite on her arm.

No word on how the fight affected the living situation, however. oh im sure its all honky dorey now A spokesperson for the Jersey City Police Department said the victim refused a temporary restraining order against Rodriguez. oh thats sweet.

"They both lived at the same address. We assume it's her roommate," the officer said, adding that Rodriquez "does have the option of filing assault charges against the woman for the bite."

A onetime E! Online Sizzlin' 16er, Rodriguez shot to fame playing a tough female boxer in director Karyn Kusama's Girlfight, which won the Grand Jury Prize at 2000's Sundance Film Festival (news - web sites) and earned the actress roles in several high-profile projects.

Rodriguez cemented her tough-chick status in last summer's high-octane action hit The Fast and the Furious and can currently be seen battling mutant zombies with Milla Jovovich in a big-screen version of the popular video game Resident Evil. (Which makes us ponder the question: Would Rodriguez be in this mess if she made movies with less violent-sounding titles, say Happy Puppies?) oh the humor. how witty

A trial date is set for April 3. cant wait to see how this will end. oh wait i know. nothing. she will get off, nothing major, a fine and maybe community service and anger management. she will be fine. next time the woman will know. you ASK michele to use the phone first. or else she will kill you.
