Thanks guys for the big welcome.
Any of you guys from Califorina?
I'm from San Jose. Small, but nice to
live.
I have to ask, have anyone of you talk to
Duncan?

Howdy. Welcome to the board.

I live on the East Bay - my husband works in San Jose, so we are in one of those small towns 20 minutes south of Oakland. I do not say "I am from California." We migrated from Portland, OR, three years ago to one of the most expensive places to live in the U.S. (that being here - in the Bay Area) - when my husband got a promotion. Then he was handed a "de-motion" two years later when his company, like so many others, downsized. They found another position for him, but bye-bye company car and hello commute daily on the old 880. So we are hoping for a "re-motion" back out of here (that being California) to a place where it doesn't cost ten bucks just to look at a possible residence (I'm kidding. It's not quite that bad.) One of the places we've looked is San Jose, but holy batman we're not paying 2 grand for a 3 bedroom apartment!
It's very pretty down there, being so close to the Santa Cruz mountains and such, and it would be nice to move so my husband wouldn't have to spend 2 1/2 hours commuting each day, but tooooooo spendy. Ouch!

Anyway, welcome - I became a fan of "Grace" as well this last year on the recommendations of a few people on this board, and of course Duncan - whom everyone knows is a big fan. If you have a DVD player - I suggest getting his concert DVD "Live In Chicago" - it was taped in 1995. Watching Jeff Buckley perform is indeed a "transcending" experience for me, and there is at least one person here who actually did catch Jeff live in concert - that being our birthday boy today.
A great evening wished to all!
Shari
oh - most everyone here that has been to see Duncan has talked with him. He is very accessible (usually) after concerts when he can be. I've met him three times. He's a nice guy - he doesn't bite.
