Hibernating sounds nice. Today I have played guitar and watched a mediocre movie. I think I'm recovered from my insane Friday night at the Weezer show... I know some people on this board go to George Mason... any of you see the Weezer show at the Patriot Center?

Hey Britt! I was just asking Mari about David Mead yesterday. Email me when you get a chance - tell me what you think of him. I'm curious. Would mucho appreciato your opinionato. No, I'm not making fun of the Spanish language. I'm making fun of the fact that I used to speak it quite fluently (well, I could get by ordering food in a restaurant, and asking to please point me in the direction of the women's bathroom afterward) and now I've forgotten almost all of it
"You don't use it, you lose it."
This has nothing to do with David Mead, Britt. I'm just tired. Drop a line when you get a chance. And I know about a little nightnight gift you might have just received! Tell me what you think...

Britt, no I don't go to Mason. I'm still in high school! But I live practically across the street from the place, go to school across the street from the place... The Weezer show was amazingly cool. The crowd was a little crazy, and the fans were so rude to The Start. I kept thinking "um, your crappy punk band isn't opening for Weezer, so have some respect and let em play." But all in all it was a great show. Though I must say, I prefer smaller venues. No big deal though. I saw my favorite band, so I'm happy

Michele, I'll try to e-mail you tomorrow... gotta get my midterm paper done first... sorry I haven't been keeping in touch better... good luck with your class!! are you still having a rough time with it??

Wow, never really paid attention at how many Duncan fans are in VA who are on this board. Very cool Of course, any place with lots of Duncan fans has to rock!!! Anyhoo, I'm happy to hear that the Weezer show went well. I would have been there with you all had I not suffered a shortage of cash for my tickets But I'm super psyched about the David Mead concert. Seriously, everyone who likes Duncan should check out David Mead. He is fantastic. I like to think of him as an earlier Elton John with a little bit of John Lennon on the edges. Weird description, I know, but there's just something about his voice that reminds me of those two artists. You guys should definitely check him out when he comes through your area. Britt and I will be at the Black Cat show as she mentioned above. Maybe we'll run into some of you VA Donuts when we're there Oh yeah, Wolfie, how the hell are you?? I haven't heard from you in a while. I miss ya man!!! Drop me a line when you get the chance

Love,
Sam

I'm here Sam
I'm definitely gonna be checking out David Mead!
Three glowing recommedations from three people who naturally glow - Mari, Britt, Sam!

I owe so many emails to so many of you! As soon as the ants start taking the bate traps I've set down in this room, I can sit and type; I hardly have enough time to read before they're crawling on me!
Why did God create ants anyway?

I'll be writing soon - and reading your posts on the fly! In the meantime - you guys rock!!
Shari
*a late edit to let you all know (though I realize how un-important this is that the Battle of the Ants has been conquered. They were put out of my misery this morning by a man with a white truck and all kinds of ant-destruction equipment.
I can now type and work in peace, without the little creepy crawly unwelcomed visitors. They have peacefully met their maker.*

Wuzzy, I have a cold too. Blech. Nyquil is good though. Lewis Black has a really funny thing in his standup comedy about how wonderful Nyquil is... Anyway. I wish I could take Nyquil for my cold, but I have papers to edit, letters to write, algebra problems to solve, and chemistry stuff to try and make sense of. Whoever said chemistry is a science was a liar. It's should be just called math since that's all it really is. Another math class to get C's in. Exactly what my GPA needs...

Hey guys,

I miss all of you! My time here is limited because I don't own a computer.

I've been kind of on an emotional rollercoaster for awhile but things look good ahead. It is October, my favorite month for many reasons, autumn, my birthday, Halloween.
Anyway, because of work and going to school (after a 2 year hiatus), any time to myself is precious. At the same time though, I really want to be near people, the attacks that took place really made me think about how dependent I am on others. I'm sorry if this is boring you all.

Wolfspirit, I have one more David Meade sampler, it has only three songs, but they're all good. If you like i could send it.

Britt and Sam, I wish I could be there with you, have fun!

Take Care,
Amy

Very kind and sweet of you Amy! But I think Britt is going to burn something for me, and if I like it, I will go out and buy it to give this new artist his fair share of the proceeds.
You guys are beyond cool.

Britt,

Denise and I are planning to go see David in Philly. As you know we saw him open for Duncan in "The Hampton's." That was really a very magical evening and the setting was so very cool. David was excellent. Can't wait to see him on the 19th.

Love.

Michele,
Did you get my e-mail?? I sent you one a few days back...(i think)

I can't wait for the show!! I'm so grateful that Amy decided to introduce me to his music... I've been playing it over the PA system at the aquatic center the past few days, so everyone who's been working out and swimming has heard the CD as well...

Britt,

I am still sick. I can't seem to get rid of this sore throat..and it's hard to swallow. I missed classes yesterday and work. Have been trying to rest up alot, and all this pop- bubble gum music on the radio. Everything is starting to sound the same. I finally had to turn it off.

Britt, went looking for a guitar the other evening and saw a very pretty little one by "Ariana." She may be the one for me. Very nice sound too. (The Gibsons will have to wait)
I believe I did get your e-mail, but have not had time to respond yet.

love..... If anyone knows some good remedies for a sore throat let me know.
thanks.

Michele

Hey thanks Ericka.I have been drinking lots of tea. Infact I'm getting sick of drinking tea. I went out yesterday and bought some honey to put in it. That's really good with lemon. Finally I took some Ibuprofen and that made me feel alittle bit better... my sore throat, and the Pharmacist said it's good for the inflammation of my glands. Finally I feel alittle better..... Yeah...... I can almost sing again. Almost.

Love. Thank you for caring,
M

it's coming slow. i'm in a "don't really feel like playing" mood lately. it comes and goes. sometimes i play non stop and it's all i want to do. but these past few weeks i've just been playing what i have to for school. i'm in guitar ensemble at my school... that's where i do actual music reading and play classical guitar and w/ correct posture and all that. then i take lessons every week, and i learn about the more rockstar aspect of guitar and usually play my electric guitar. i get taught a lot of classic rock when i take lessons. then at home i play simple chord progressions on an acoustic, steel string guitar. a lot of easy stuff i can sing to. but despite all my teachings, i'm not great. guitar doesn't come very naturally to me. i've just had to work at it. as much as i love it, my laziness gets in the way of progress.
