Waiting for your thoughts.

Waiting for the way.

Each of us can make this a better day.

It's the little things that count.

The smiles we give, to know we care.

Yes, it is the small things.

These small things add up to equal the positive inside us.

This is what we get in return.

You may not realize it today or even tomorrow, but it lurks just around the hidden corner waiting to reach out to us - in return.

Today, I am tired.

I am left weakened by the crazy news of the day.

It passes like just another thought.

Yet I remain strong like the mountains of time.

Before us are our individual lives.

We can choose to fullfill our hopes and dreams today, in every step we take.

Worries just pass me by.

You see, we ultimately choose what is truly worth our time and efforts.

The World around us will go on.

Hopefully we can all make this world a better place in our own way.

Maybe it's a smile, or a hand extended out to someone in friendship. Maybe it's just a caring look to let someone know you care.

Maybe it is just the acknowledgement that we are all in this together. Yet- it is found surely in the simplest of things.

The time of day and the whispers of the wind.

The words we sing, the words we speak.

In our writings and our everyday works. In our Art and through the expression of our hearts.

It is in Mankind to be good and loving.

Why have so many gone astray?

I would like to work towards making this world a brighter place for us and all the children, people young and old.

Let Music and our words be the keystone of our very Souls.

Peace is upon us all.

Wuz, what are you expecting us to say? Cheer and nod at the brilliant words you post? Start discussing what? What are you talking about? Youve never seemed to need an audience before. With all of your stream of consciousness that you so love to share. Constantly.

In order to be healthy we must see the Good and the Bad. From my understanding, it's not good to dwell on either. Just recognize the world for what it is, and let your mind be at peace and clear. To put it better, let's not attach our energies and thoughts to these things. The good things can disappear in a second as can our lives. So we must experience each moment with the clearest of minds...... not allowing ourselves to become too attached. This makes us sick and unhealthy. This is also the root of all worry and anxiety. Let's enjoy the positives of our lives for what they are, but leave it at that.

just musing on some thoughts...

if we can just move out of ourselves, to empty ourselves of ourselves, & take the time to see Jesus in the other & love that other person, then we can finally achieve peace that we so long for...

Goodnight. Oh, something spiritual. I have seen Duncan 6 times on this tour and one other time in 98. Yes, the music just gets better & better & better and changes.

Much peace.

When there is wisdom, one naturally relates to others with love. Love is wisdom's natural radiance.

nice, very nice...
anything to lift the spirits up...
wisdom, i might say, is the spouse of love. & if both merge (just like God & Jesus loving one another), they create a strong spirit of peace...
& a trinity is formed...

IN PRAISE OF ZAZEN

Sentient beings are in essence buddhas.
It is like water and ice.
There is no ice without water,
there are no buddhas outside sentient beings.

What a shame, sentient beings seek afar,
not knowing what is at hand.
It is like wailing from thirst
in the midst of water,
or wandering lost among the poor,
although born a rich man's child.

The cause of rebirth in the six realms
is the darkness of our delusion.
Treading dark path after dark path
when can we escape birth and death?

Mahayana Zen Meditation
goes beyond all praise.
Giving, keeping precepts, and the other perfections, chanting Buddha's name, repentance, training and many other kinds of wholesome deeds
all find their source in zazen.

When you sit even once,
the merit obliterates countless wrongdoings.
How can there be evil realms?
The Pure Land is not far.

If by good fortune you have the occasion
to hear this teaching,
admire it and rejoice in it.

You will attain boundless happiness---
how much more if you dedicate yourself
and realize your own nature directly.

This own-nature is no nature.
*You are already apart from useless discussions.
The gate opens where cause and effect are inseparable,
The road of not-two, not-three goes straight ahead.

Make the form formless form,
going and returning, not anywhere else.
Make the thought thoughtless thought,
singing and dancing, the dharma voice.

How vast the sky of unobstructed concentration!
How brilliant the full moon of fourfold wisdom!

At this very moment,what can be sought?
Nirvana is immediate.
This place is the lotus land.
This body is the buddha body.

Hakuin

with much Love.

a spiritual quote, eh? Well then, . Let see. Ahh, heres one I like.

"He who troubleth his own home shall inherit the wind, and the fool shall be his servant." It's something like that. I can nevver remember it exactly. Also, my fav qoute from history class. Respond to what you think of this, cause it is amazing.

Sometimes, it appears that all one has is one's self.

I do believe that the world can be cold and heartless.

It is at these times I must remind myself of all the beauty and people who do care out there.

It is evident in their many soft, gentle voices.

In the mist's of the evenings and breezes of the days.

It's evident in our longing for the wisdom and truth of this world.

Funny, as I laugh- I almost forgot.

Inner peace is by far the strongest and do not doubt the strength it brings.

Do not be fooled by the trick of the day.

Life is not easy.

~~~~ Cooking Anger ~~~~
You need to sustain your mindfulness for a certain amount of time in order for the flower of anger to open herself. It's like when you cook potatoes; you put the potatoes in the pot, cover it, and put it on the fire. But even with a very high flame, if you turn the fire off after five minutes, the potatoes will not be cooked. You have to keep the fire burning for at least fifteen or twenty minutes in order for the potatoes to cook. After that, you open the lid, and you smell the wonderful aroma of cooked potatoes.
Your anger is like that--- it needs to be cooked. In the beginning it is raw. You cannot eat raw potatoes. Your anger is very difficult to enjoy, but if you know how to take care of it, then the negative energy of your anger will become the positive energy of understanding and compassion.
You can do it. It is not something only a Great Being can do. You can do it, too. You can transform the garbage of anger into the flower of compassion. Many of us can do this in just fifteen minutes. The secret is to continue the practice of mindful breathing, the practice of mindful walking, generating the energy of mindfulness in order to embrace your anger.
Embrace your anger with a lot of tenderness. Your anger is not your enemy, your anger is your baby. It's like your stomach or your lungs. Every time you have some trouble in your lungs or stomach, you don't think of throwing them away. The same is true with your anger. You accept your anger because you know you can take care of it; you can transform it into positive energy.
