"And to you who find it difficult to believe in anything.. I praise you for the outrage at the horror you have seen."

Here's a Non-Duncan quote:

"In focusing on the mundane, what is essential remains hidden from us."

Someone asked me today, "Is it possible to Love someone and not like them?"

I would have to say No. Your thoughts?

Michele-

From my own experience, I can dislike someone 99% of the time and still love them for that 1% that I find beautiful...

My quote: "Jesus can't save you, but it's nice to think he tries..."

Hmm... yeah, it's defintely possible to love someone and not to like her/him... people can lose your sympathy easily... but love lasts and it resists all good reasons, if you want it or not.

I think it's possible to love someone and not like them. It's easy to love people, it's pretty hard to like a lot of them though... I'll grab my book of quotes when I get home and post some schtuff up in here.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

I'll throw out a Duncan lyric, though its meaning for me is spiritually different...

"I look through the darkness into the sky
The moon up above me brilliantly shines
I've never been happier watching it glow
I'm here by myself, but I know I'm not alone."
"When I'm with you, feels like I'm home."

If I speak to you, in the winds of the trees-you may get lost.

you may catch me in the sound of the leaf,

or the quiet evening sky.

Layers of Tranquility,

Evening misted sky.

Wondering moonlight beams aglow,

Entangled thoughts of you.

Peaceful river flowing currents, moving flow.

Still, your presence captures me so.

Seek and you shall find.......

The light awaits us all, peaceful and calm,
and all knowing. It is in our backyards my friends, we mustn't walk far.

As night turns into morning, I fall into you;amongst the roses and trees and dew drops
so new.

Soon the birds will sing and give us their song too.

Here's one from my absolute favorite author, Mr. Witty himself, Oscar Wilde.

From Will Smith's character as Bagger Vance in "The Legend of Bagger Vance."

"Everyone has an "authentic" swing - something you're born with, something no one can ever take from you. Visualize it. If you've lost it - it can be found. If you've never known it - it's waiting to be known."

Well, I improvised a little at the end there.
I just loved the whole spiritual nature of the movie. Talking shop about golf - talking on a deeper level about
soul-searching and being true to one's self.

Ahh, favorite spiritual quote...

From the movie "Corrina, Corrina" (yeah I'm a dork), the little girl is talking to her dad about God and heaven and he says something about that there is no heaven, that people just make it up to feel better. (I'll have to improvise bc I haven't seen the movie in a while)

She says, "Have you ever seen a million dollars?"
He says, "No"
She says, "Just because you've never seen it, doesn't mean it isn't there."

I love that quote !

Here are a few of my favorites.

Pray to God but row for the shore.

Sometimes the things you believe in become more real than the things we can understand and explain.

If you love someone deeply enough anything is possible.

Such nice thoughts.

Here are some more:

The yoga of relationship is, I think, very appropriate and even indispensible for our time. This is not a time when most men and women will develop through monasticism, but rather through relationships and other forms of interpersonal engagement. Our relationships with friends, family, and the earth itself provide amazing opportunities to work ourselves in an effort to get things right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Neem Karoli Baba, said, "It's better to see G-d in everything than to try and figure it out." In the light of pure perception, we learn to see everyone as spiritual beings, rather than seeing others as mere objects who may or may not momentarily be pleasing or displeasing. This is how we develop loving hearts.
Lama Surya Das,
How cool is that,
peace
