alrighty ya'll, i've just been informed by another bay area duncan fan that Duncan will be performing on an episode of Boston Public. No telling if he will potray a high school student, however that would be kind of funny though..hehehehe.....oh well, maybe he can teach joey macintye to sing while he's there....hahahahahah ANyways, back when he did the SF show he was apparently doing a performance during the morning of that day in San Jose at the Downton park accross from the Fairmont (which i wasn't even aware of), so after his performance he was being interviewed about his new cd and mentioned that he will be in an episode on Boston Public. Can't wait to see that!

In fact, Duncan's exact words after the reporter asked if he was going appear on BP were:

"I am, but I just have to sing luckily...I am a terrible actor."

How very modest of him!

(WT-thanks a bunch...you're a sweetie in my book.)

Boston Public is a show that appears on the Fox Network (ok now, does Duncan have a contract or something with fox, lol cause the last show he was on was 90210...which is also on Fox....) and I think appears on Monday Nights or Tuesday Nights.....either one of those nights at either 8 or 9pm...it's an hour long show ( i think?)....and it's a pretty good show actually from what I have seen. I haven't watched it like I would a favorite show, but it's got some good subject matter...

Duncan has a contract with Atlantic. Atlantic and several media corporations(including the parent company behind fox) have deals worked out for getting artists exposure. It goes both ways. Everybody is in bed with somebody these days.

The music business is becoming a diverse one indeed.

no word yet on when it will air or which episode it is, however he is appearing. I or someone else here can check the website and see if anything is mentioned on it, but other than that, that's all i've heard...

I know Duncan spent a summer in France, so I'd trust him with my classes! He could be a "special guest" in my class anytime!!!

I checked the fox television site and found info about Boston Public. It doesn't mention Duncan for this Monday's episode. I would hope that he would be mentioned if he was going to appear. They only spoke about the upcoming episode. I'll check again next week.

If Duncan ever subbed for my French class, I would definitely stay awake and not focus on doodling the hour away. Especially the Monday night session. Mmm...video's of Duncan instead of weird Capretz....

Oh, yeah, Steph - I'd be there. He'd be my special guest talking about living in France for the summer, or recording an album there. I'd sit with the students and ask questions and generally soak up the deliciousness that is Duncan. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

nuTrishous - Capretz? Like "French in Action?" They're still using that? Do they realize how old it is? Sheesh!

The very one Bronwen. Not only are they using at my University but we also used it at my high school. If Mireille doesn't put a bra on/ stop stalking all over the place soon, I'm going to gag.

You better believe I will be watching! BP is actually a pretty good show. It took awhile for me to get into, but once I did, I haven't regretted watching it. The episode with Marla and Danny getting into a fist fight was just plain FUNNY! Not that I condone violence, but you have to know the characters history to see the humor. Anyway.....rock on Duncan!

Okay, Mike (Webmaster-guru)…can you confirm the exact date of Duncan’s appearance on BP? I’ve just read on the current Entertainment Weekly that the date is on Jan. 20th. Here’s the little blurb:

“…Fox’s Boston Public will start showcasing notable musicians in its fictitious bar. Look for Duncan Sheik Jan. 20 and Counting Crows Feb. 3…”

Notable?…that’s an understatement!

I just read this thread, how much does this thrill me? I love Boston Public (although a little less now that Nicky Katt is gone), but Duncan as a guest? Thrill me, thrill me, thrill me!!!

I could never get into the show. Probably because it is about high school and I am just trying to get out of high school.
