So yeah, I went to the show in Detroit, MI and it was awesome. There were TONS of people, but I think 75% of them were there for Ben Folds (just from over hearing people talk). Duncan played (not in this order) "Start Again", "Good Morning", "Rubbed Out", "End of Outside", "For You", and "Fake Plastic Trees" (I think that was all of them). Then he went out into the lobby and signed stuff. I was like the 7th person to have something signed...I was pretty excited! He shook my hand and then I was on my way. Ben Folds was awesome too. He's a very funny man...and swears a lot! He did an awesome version of "Song for the Dumped". Hey, did you hear that he was arrested outside like 5 minutes after he started signing stuff? Crazy  There was a thread about Duncan's girlfriend (some model) I read a few days ago. I believe she was at the show because I happened to be sitting by the back stage door and he came out of it and a tall (very) thin girl ran up and he kissed her on the cheek and then she went backstage. She looks like how she did in that picture that was posted in the thread. She kept going in and out of backstage with Gerry. Then she came out to smoke and when she came back, she and Duncan were holding hands and ran backstage. They looked very happy! ANYWAYS, I just thought I would fill people in. Hi Lisa, My husband and I were there too! You may have seen us...my husband's pretty tall, so he sticks out a bit.  We stood right in front of Duncan about 3 people back. I thought the show was excellent, but I was so amazed at how rude the people in the audience were! I just wanted to listen to Duncan sing, but the people behind me talked throughout his entire set. I still enjoyed myself VERY much!  We met him before the show outside (was it cold yesterday or what?), and he remembered us!! He was so sweet to both of us. After the show we bothered him again, but he didn't seem to mind...I sure hope he didn't. Oh Lisa, he sang Genius too! I was there too!! This is the set list - I believe I have the order correct too. Rubbed Out The mostly Ben Folds crowd, talked through must of his stuff, especially the slower songs but really appreciated Trees and shut up for that one. I was unfortunately in the balcony - but I did go out and get his signature and a picture. Sorry I didn't get to meet you Tina, I kept asking women if they were "Tina" - they all thought I was nuts. . . lol Hey Lisa - yeah I saw Ben get taken away, he had just started signing stuff, when the cops stopped outside the Theatre, surrouned him, slapped cuffs on him and put him in their car and drove off, his manager was freakin' out and finally got someone to get his car so he could try to follow. hahahahah Ben Folds getting arrested.....hmmm maybe outstanding warrants or something....lol that's a trip... Any of you guys here Limp Bizkit fans....remember the video "Nookie" where at the end of the video he's getting arrested by the cops and he's like peace- IP: Logged |

dang.... at first i thought, "possession," but apparently it's "indecent exposure" (??!). HA! i knew it.... it's because of the cursing. the cursing in front of minors; some old law in detroit. good fucking grief. so, no he didn't do anything with his "you know." oh my god... what the hell is going on? how bogus. this is the same law they were gonna use to arrest madonna on back in the day when she was doing her masturbation routines for "like a virgin." it was at some concert in--tah dah--michigan. i think michael moore needs to get involved. laters,
