Does Duncan unually sign autographs after his shows ? I've seen a lot of you talking about autographs and pictures and was wondering if that's normal or if you are all very lucky people ?

Also, what can you tell me about the Beacon Theatre ? What's the theatre like ? I've seen the seating chart, but that doesn't really tell me much.

I've never even been to NYC, I live in a very small closed off world, my friend and I don't even know how we're getting there yet.

Thanks.

Hi mamabear,
I have seen Duncan perform twice (2 different places), and each time he signed autographs afterwards. I'm not sure if he always does it, but I'm so glad that he did it when I saw him.
I am hoping he does it in Detroit tomorrow night too!!
Have a great time at the show, mamabear. Tell us all about it.

Tina

Mamabear - hope this helps: The Beacon Theater is located along Broadway, between West 74th and 75th Streets. The nearest subway station is the 72nd Street station for the (red) 1,2,3,9 trains.

The theater lobby itself is rather narrow and it looks like an old Broadway theater that's been converted into a concert venue (which I think it might be). On performance nights, you can't miss the place as there will be a crowd standing outside.

Anyway, that part of town is really bustling in the evenings as there are a lot of restaurants, bars and the like. There are plenty of food options, but I would warn against patronizing the diner located a few doors down from the Beacon, "American Restaurant" (it's downstairs of the Hotel Beacon). The food's not very good, it's pricey for diner fare, and service was bad.

Mamabear....

I'm going to the same show... I just advise you guys to leave plenty of time to get there in case something happens and to get inside. The city can get crowded around commuter peak times. We've mentioned this before.. but those who are going to the NYC show we should meet up after or something.
