Thanks for letting us know Shane, even though I'm quite sure I will NEVER hear it on the radio here. I still have not heard On a High on the radio. Oh well, it doesn't really bother me, since I listen to his CD every day!

That's odd. When I saw him in Hollywood, he said he had no control over choosing the next single. He did mention that the record label was thinking of using "Half Life". So I guess he was right. Honestly though, I personally think that "Genius" would make a MUCH better single. I mean, I've seen Duncan twice since Daylight came out, and he's never played "Half Life". Probably due to the piano, but still.

my sentiments exactly nick...

He's never played "Half Life," not even at the San Francisco show....you figure Ben Folds would let him borrow his piano if he wanted to play it! lol.....but yeah, I think Genius and Start Again would have been better singles that would get more radio play than half life...they're more catchy.....bu that's just my $0.02

I am so envious of you guys. I missed him both times here and he NEVER played the Anaheim show which really sucked......
I think Half Life will do well....I agree about Start Again...or actual Such Reveries

Although Half Life is no doubt a great song, I too feel like maybe Genius should have been the next single.
However, I had a sneaking suspicion that Half Life would release next because when I bought the cd, it had one of those little stickers on it that said "Featuring: On a High....Half Life", so I figured they had already decided that it would be a single.

I hear "On a High" on the radio every now and then, which means it's (finally) catching on. Maybe right now wouldn't be the best time to release the next single, I'd rather let "On a High" settle in a bit more. I guess it's too late, if "Half Life" is already airing. Considering the record isn't doing too well, they are probably trying to find a song to help.
I've just seen Duncan twice (and they were both for Daylight), which means I didn't catch him at all over all these years of being a fan.
I'm glad you guys think that "Genius" would work too.
All in all, I'm just happy to hear other Duncan songs on the radio.

this is odd...i went to a private concert in columbus ohio that a radio station was sponsoring, and he played 1/2 life but not genius. duncan played his "froggy bottom" and ger played his electric w/some doo dad...it sounded really cool!! and for the air time on the radio...i live in huntington, wv and i have'nt heard anything since barely breathing, i never heard she runs away either!! but then this relates back to the fact that our politicians have a strict hold on things down/over/up (wherever your located...lol...that was corny). but that is another story for another post...

Wow...that's great for Duncan! I truly love this song, and I hope it does well. One question though...does that mean, an upcoming video for "Half-Life" is in the works or will eventually be up and running on VH1??? Gosh, I hope so.

I like how they picked a deep, you know song that has a meaning to it, for the next single. Not that Duncan's music doesn't all have meaning, they do. I personally relate to "Half- Life" well, so in my mind it might make a good single. "On a High" might still be a larger single... sometimes things just take time to build you know.... I think the problem with the album might be that, at least with some people that I encounter, people have already pegged Duncan as being a one hit wonder and have not explored how he has grown musically and has moved away from pop a bit. It sucks.

If I were the one choosing the singles I would have chosen Half life, so yeah, I agree with that

it's the best song on the cd so it deserves to be heard
