Alrighty, I my girlfriend and I went to the show last night and let me tell you, Duncan played great and he was really comfortable at the show....even joking about a few things with the audience....he played a few songs off the new album (played On a High, Genius, Start Again, Good Morning, and For You) and also some off of Phantom Moon ( just Mr. Chess). It was funny when he was going to play Good morning. He said, "And now I'm going to play a song about the Devil." Everyone cracked up. He also played some off the first album (Barely Breathing, End of outside) and also one off of Humming (Rubbed Out) as well as one of of Resevoir (Fake Plastic Trees......all in all it was a great performance and it made quite a few Duncan fans out of those who came to see Ben Folds....he even signed autographs after his set and must have done it for about an hour or so...which was really cool of him....The funiest thing was when me and my girlfriend were up front by the table he was signing....(it was all crampt up so he kept signing for people while were right there waiting) and this girl starts talking to him saying ,"So, are you married?" Duncan says no. "Are you looking?" Duncan says yes. "So are you single?" and that's when I jumped in and said, "Hey! He's got a girlfriend," and he says, "Yes, I have a girlfriend." Ane the girl, again, "Where does she live in?" Duncan says New York. Then she says, "Are you happy?" And duncan says, "Yes, very happy." I swear, why would someone want to hook up with a girl who doesn't even care about cheating.....she'll probably cheat on you! I'll admit, she was cute, but still, show some respect....

All in all it was a great performance and everyone in the audience was very cool and nice to him....no hecklers or a-holes at all....which duncan showed in his comfortablness with the crowd.....very good show and I can't wait till he comes back...
to all those who went to the show I hope you had a great time as well....

peace-

WT -- it sounds like such a great time!!
I'm sure Duncan runs into girls like that in every town. He's such a good guy though, I'm sure his girlfriend has no worries.

hey, i just wanted to say that i went to the same show at the Warfield in Frisco...and it was awesome!!! Everyone got to meet Duncan, and he is the nicest guy!! i mean, he stood out there signing autographs and taking pictures till there weren't any people left, and that was totally awesome of him. Plus, this is my first time seeing Duncan live, and he is absolutely amazing, he was really cool, laid back, and actually pretty funny...i can't wait till he comes back to frisco, it was a beautiful show!!!

Duncan always manages to make me smile... At the SLC show, after Good Morning! he said, "I only swear once!!" and looked all apologetic. It was hilarious. Everyone laughed their asses off... Another funny thing? He totally forgot to turn his amp on and couldn't figure out why the songs didn't sound right. When he turned around and realized the light was off, he looked pretty embarrassed. *lol* It was funny. The songs sounded good to us, amp or no amp!! *lol* About the dumb girl... If she didn't even know he had a gf, she wasn't worth his time anyway... At least she wasn't like the chick who was at the Aaron Lewis signing I went to... She asked him if she could hurt him. Then she asked if she could lick his eyebrow. Swear to God... The entire thing was quite strange. But Aaron & his bodyguard & I had a laugh about it... Crazy women. Women are psycho!!! That's a reason for why Duncan SHOULD be gay... *lol*

Yeah, yeah, don't scream at me for that last one...

I was wondering why he was looking back! Wow, I know I don't know much about music or nothing, but amp or no amp it still sounded good! My favorite song that he played was "Start Again." I love that song. It's my favorite one off Daylight and perhaps my second favorite one next to "Wishful Thinking." (hence the screen name).....but I'm glad you had a fun time also....I told him about the last time he was in SF and how i asked him to play "Home" and to dedicate to me and my girlfriend (i asked him before the show but didn't blame him or tell him he forgot to) and he said he was sorry and that he wished he would have played it......but hey, with everyone there shouting and me up in the balcony, I don't think he would have hear me....How about when he said "Hey, there's the makeout section." I don't know if you heard me, but I yelled out, "That's not the only one!" hahahahahaha I'm glad you had a fun time too....take it easy...

Thanks for the posts guys. I couldn't make it this year! Probably (well, definitely) the first time I've missed him on any tour. But it's OK - I'm glad everyone had a good time and that Duncan once again took time to meet everyone. John, I should have had you get a Daylight CD for Duncan to sign for me! ARRGGHH!! I didn't even think of that. Now my collection is incomplete, but hopefully I'll catch up next time.

I think I've already wished you a great birthday Duncan, but just in case - have a wonderful day! I hope you receive all the spiritual peace and contentment you desire in your life. Lord knows you deserve every bit of it.

shill-

it was more like an "ok, here we go again" type of expression he had when this girl was asking him questions....but he just went with the flow to, especially when I chimed in! lol....he didn't seem to bothered with it, although he seemed like he is used to it a lot....oh well, just another thing that come along with being a celebrity...

All this talk of groupies is making me remember that I don't have any tickets for Tori for SLC in December... It's gonna be the first Tori concert I'll miss in years. I'm feeling panicky just thinking about it... WAAH!
