hey guys, Recently a tour date for Duncan at Chicago has been added, but it's not really Duncan's show, but a Ben Fold's show. I'm debating whether to see the show, since I don't really know what Ben Fold's music is like. Anyone knows any thing about Ben Fold's, perhaps, someone can give me a describe of the music. I love Ben Folds' music. I call it piano-dominated rock. From stomping on the keyboard with his foot, to pounding it with his fists, he makes some very cool and unique sounds with a piano. His song style varries, and that also makes his music fun to listen to. From soft, melodic songs like "Still Fighting It" to up-beat, catchy songs like "Rockin' The Suburbs." I would definately go to the concert, he would be amazing to hear live, and with Duncan opening, you guaranteed a memorable show. -Calvin IP: Logged |

Sorry, I can't give you any advice. I'm going to the Detroit show, but I'm not staying for Ben Folds. I just want to see Duncan perform! It actually works out better for me that Duncan is going on early because I'll have a babysitter and it's over a 2 hour drive...I can get back to my babies sooner. I'm so excited Duncan is coming to Chicago, I was worried he wasn't going to make it here until the spring. As for Ben Folds, I haven't really listened to much of his music, although Brick was unavoidable a few summers ago, but I'm sure that seeing Duncan will be worth the price of the ticket!!! Ben Folds is one of the best songwriters today. He is the next Elton John. Consider yourself lucky if you get to see him and Duncan all in one night. Check out his latest album called Rockin the Suburbs. It's amazing. I love Duncan, but Ben is better. IP: Logged |

Ben Folds is awesome! His music is different than what Duncan provides; it's less mellow and sometimes quite funny. But he's an incredible writer and performer. I saw a Ben Folds Five show a few years back, and it was amazing! Duncan and Ben are definitely an awesome duo, and if you get the chance to see them together, I highly suggest you act on that chance. Check out Ben Fold's solo CD, "Rockin' the Suburbs". It's really well done, but it takes a little getting used to. IP: Logged |
