I usually value most every review I read about everything (movies, music, etc.)whether they're good or bad. My only criteria is that the reviewer 'splain him or herself as to WHY he or she likes or dislikes a movie, book, album, etc. There. That being said, the critical responses for Duncan's new album, I believe, have been, for the most part, favorable (if a bit underwhelming, I'll admit). It must be understood, though, that most things bad that are written usually must be taken with a grain of salt if the reviewer obviously isn't substantially familiar with the subject matter (and who knows more about Thusly, I've compiled a list of new review blurbs for 'Daylight' upon the Duncan Sheik section of my humble, 2-year (and counting)website, "Insomnia Theatre". Here's the direct link: Some blurbs are from reviews you may have read (including the now-infamous 3-liner courtesy of "Rolling Stone"), and some you may have not. The overall amount is relatively short, even though I searched assiduosly across the far reaches of the internet for them (Duncan's just not the popular type, I'm afraid). In honor of the release of 'Daylight', I added a newer, brighter picture of our favorite barely-breather (the last pic I had of him was the B&W; walking-with-hands-in-pocket one), but had to do away with the review blurbs of his self-titled debut (Angelfire only allowed me three lists). Thank you, and please enjoy! ---------------------- Matthew M.
