I know this may be a bit premature since the album was just 'released' today, but does anyone have any immediate favorite songs??

I'm totally diggin' Halflife. It's got a real easy 80's sounding ring to it...

BTW: 'Released' is in quotation marks because if you were like me and hundreds of others, you probably heard advance copies of the album.

On first listen (except for the playing of the album over and over online) what I'm digging on right now is On Her Mind. Soon though I'll be in love with them all. -Rabiah

'genius' is clearly my favorite at the moment. i'm totally hooked on that chorus! in a close second is a five-way tie between: 'half life,' 'start again,' 'on her mind,' 'for you,' and 'good morning.' this is going to be one of those cds where i'll have a different favorite track every week.

hooray for new duncan music!

cheers & good times!

On her mind, Genius, On a high, Memento, Start Again. I think this one is more radio-friendly than Humming or PM.

Good stuff!!!

Memento.

edit - adding Such Reveries and On Her Mind to the list... Duncan has got to be talking about me in the latter's chorus

I don't personally think there is a bad song on "Daylight." As for my favorites, I would have to say they are "Genius," "Half-Life," "Start Again," "Such Reveries," "For You," "Good Morning!," "Memento," and "Shine Inside." "Chimera" and "On Her Mind" are continuing to grow on me each time I listen to the CD.

I'd have to say "Half-Life" is my current favorite.

I'm sure that more of the songs will grow on me, as all of Duncan's songs usually have, but at first listen, my favorites are Shine Inside( I love the creative arrangement), Start again (which I hope will soon be a single), and Such Reveries (for personal reasons )

Right now I'm stuck on Shine Inside. Ooh, and Such Reveries - what a great theme, I'm sure a lot of people (myself included) can relate to that song.

Man, that's a toughie. My roommate's torn between Shine Inside and Good Morning! I've gotta say either Half-Life or On Her Mind. But there's one more that both of us are nuts about--that hidden track. Does anyone know what it's called (Wandering? Scorpio Boy? Chased By Storms?)? Or know more of the story behind it? It's got just a Haunting melody, and I really just need to know more about it. Any info would be much appreciated...

Thanks,
Benjamin

Benjamin: The hidden track is called "Chimera." When the track-listing came up on the Atlantic website, that was the title given to the last track of the album, after "Shine Inside."

The only song that really gives me that feeling I look to Duncan for is "Half-Life," and thus it's my fav song of the album.
