Now that radio has Duncan's new single, I think its time that we pull our collective resources together to make sure radio will play "On A High."

Each radio station usually has a program director that plays an important role in determining what songs go onto light and/or heavy rotation. For us, we need to sit down and find out who is the program director at our local radio stations. This thread can be used for us to post the contact information (name and e-mail) of these program directors, as well as any disc-jockey there. That way, we can use our e-mail address, or addresses, to request "On A High." As the saying goes, with a minor revision, request early and often.

Hopefully, our efforts will garner more airplay for "On A High" and, in turn, lead more people to request the song as well. I think its definitely worth a try.

Richard

Ok, I could use some help. I am here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, what radio stations would play Duncan. I dont really listen to the radio, and if I do it is usually Radio Disney cause my kids are in the car with me.(I know, I know but what are ya gonna do. Most of the radio stations are way to raunchy for the kids to listen to.) If anyone has any suggestions or info, I will request "On A High" and make sure it gets some airplay.

I really don't think I have any hope of hearing "On a High" here in Ontario, but I'll certainly try!!

Hi Richard and Denise -- my company just left today and I've been majorly depressed.

I think that this information can be found at the radio sation's website. I don't know this for sure, but it seems like a logical place to start. I'll try to find some stuff out for those in NYC because there are at least two stations that might play it here.

All right, I've done my part, I've contacted three stations here in the Minneapolis area so hopefully someone will care. I also figured some of you may be too lazy to type out an email to your local stations, so I'll include mine here so you guys can just copy and paste it if you'd like. (although you'll have to change it to fit your location, and make any other changes you'd like too )

Duncan has given us so much, this is our chance to do some work for him.

Here's what I sent:

With Duncan's upcoming release (Daylight, due out Aug 27) I think you guys need to give him some air time, and I don't mean "Barely Breathing." As great as that song is, it's six years old. What you need is to play some newer Duncan stuff. With three albums already under his belt and a fourth on the way, there's plenty to choose from. His new single, "On a High," off the upcoming album has started to get some play in LA and I think Minneapolis should follow. It's an up-beat, radio-friendly song that I think the public would like. You of all people should know, that singer-songwriters are making a strong comeback (Vanessa Carlton, Michelle Branch, John Mayer, the list goes on) so don't be afraid to try something new. Thanks for hearing me out, I've attached "On a High" for you to take a listen, the quality isn't very good, but you'll get the idea and can go to Atlantic if you like what you hear.
Thanks again,
-Calvin

Unfortunately where I live, there is only one radio station that will play Duncan's music...and to this date, they still don't have the new single. It's pretty sad, we have three R&B;/hip hop stations, two "alternative" stations (System of a down,Incubus, Metallica, those types of groups),about three country stations, and two top 40 stations (all Britney,Pink,Backstreet, NSYNC, all the time!) In addition, because we have such a huge Hispanic population, there are about four Hispanic stations...so, I am not having very much luck with getting Duncan any huge amount of airplay even if they did have the new single...Oh well..believe me Richard, I'm still trying!
