I was checking out a live David Bowie performance on A&E; and noticed that Gerry Leonard was playing guitar. That prompted me to do some investigating about who else he has played with, long story short while in the midst of that search, I was reading the credits on Phantom Moon and noticed that Jon Anderson is credited with playing oboe. Is that the Jon Anderson of Yes?? If so, how did he hook up with Duncan? I know Duncan said at one time early on he was a fan of groups like Yes and Genesis, but eventually out grew them.

I also saw the A&E; David Bowie concert and noticed Gerry Leonard wearing black and standing in a dark corner of the stage.
As for whether or not it was Jon Anderson from Yes, it wouldn't surprise me. He played recorder as well as some other woodwind instruments on a lot of Yes' older recordings.

I just love David. I have been a fan of his for pretty much all of his career. Infact, David has always been my favorite. I was given a back stage pass in 83 during the "Let's Dance" tour. I was so mesmerized by the show and had never had one of Those before.... when I finally went back during the encore ... I had missed him. I had a chance to see him during his "Ziggy Stardust" tour, but my Father did not allow me to go. That I will regret missing for the rest of my life. I have seen him 7 times since. He's just one of the very Best performer's out there. Gerry is very lucky to be a part of his tour this time around. Has anyone listened to his new CD straight through? What's your opinion? The last time I saw David, he did his CD "Outside." I saw him 2 nights in a row and was introduced to it at that time. It remains one of his finest works. Maybe this one is reminiscent of that time in his career. I loved his collaborations with Brian Eno as well and all of his earlier stuff for sure!!
