i'm just so impressed by you guys.

was reading through the interpretations of mr. chess (see my note there) -- really touching.

you should know -- if you don't already -- duncan is well. looks great. his new songs -- for the new album -- really are awesome. he's leaving to record it in a matter of days.

meanwhile, we're working on a new musical theatre project, and the plans are firming up for the ny opening of spring awakening (finally) next year.

in the meantime, i've been working on a bunch of other stuff. one project, a tv pilot, i've written duncan right into (as himself). here's hoping it goes -- we've even done a potential theme song, "dusk in the city".

by the by, i sure don't have a copy of the video everybody seems to reference in the mr. chess posts -- anyone want to dub me a copy? and then, i don't have a copy of "the lover from hell" either (which, yes, we wrote together) -- would be just thrilled to get ahold of it.

in any case, you guys really are the best,

steven

Steven,
Thanks for posting!! Please keep us updated about Spring Awakening... we're all really excited about it!

I'm sure many of us could help you out with getting a hold of the video and a copy of "lover from hell"... I don't know how I'd get a copy to you, but I'd be happy to do so Over e-mail maybe... or I could mail it to you.

Kind of off the subject, but Danny Nagashima is coming to our SGI center to speak with us tomorrow and I'm so excited!! This will be my first opportunity to hear him speak

Hi Steven, I just realized that I believe the video that you wanted to see was from a website called bthere tv. If you go to this website, then go to the TV section, then LOUD section...click on past shows (Duncan Sheik), and the interview with you is number 4 (lower right hand corner). Let me know if you are having problems finding it.
There are actually 6 videos total, but you are featured on #4 -- all are excellent.

Tina

Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting, Steven. I have not heard "Lover," but I'm sure that it is great.

That would be so great if Duncan had his own TV show. It could be like the "Chris Isaak Show." I hope that if it is picked up that it doesn't go to HBO or Showtime.

Take Care.

I would love to hear some comments on The Winds That Blow...this is one of the most moving songs I've ever heard. The lyrics take me away to my childhood like no other song, movie, or book ever has before. For some reason, I always imagine it snowing when I listen to this song. It was quite amazing when it did finally snow one time over Christmas break while I was driving around, and I put this song on and was completely taken away like never before. For all the melancholy and winter thoughts that this song invokes, I still see myself running through fields and creeks on the warmest of summer days with the bluest of blue skies as a child with all my friends when I hear the line "...and that phantom moon is a window, too..the stars look through the darkness to some summer noon, where our ghosts still move among the winds that blow..." "Phantom Moon" is definitely a window to that summer noon, because no album or work has ever taken me back like this one has.

thanks steven, for all the updates. wish you all the best for your upcoming projects. i sure hope your tv project on duncan will arrive here in the philippines. but then i'll just be dreaming right? 'coz the market here for duncan is just a small one (but very, very devoted). but if there's even a remote possibility that it'll be shown here, then i'll be really grateful. nway, good luck again! rest assured we mb people are always behind you, giving you support

you know, it would be just great if one of you could send me the video and/or the cd ("the lover from hell" -- "court and spark" wouldn't hurt either). it's funny, we were all supposed to get copies of that ground zero broadcast and somehow it never happened.

wrote a lyric just today for our new musical -- a song to be sung by death (the character). kind of cool. can't wait to hear myself what our mr. d will do with it.

wish i could thank you all...

That's kind of humorous that you are asking the fans for a copy

I can help you out as well... Tina, let me know if you don't have time to do it... I'd be happy to help...

Hey Steven,
I'll put both in the mail to you this week. They are being mailed from Canada, so give it a week.

I'm happy to do it for you!

Tina
Hey Britt -- No problem, I can send it! Thanks to you, I have the Idiot's Delight. I'll also mail the video, I'm pretty sure I know the one he is talking about. Where have you been girl?? Haven't heard from you in awhile...miss ya.

Steven,
I really must thank you for all the work that has been done. I am a big Duncan fan and I can't wait for "Spring Awakening" to come out either! But I haven't heard "Lover" yet either, but I know that when I do, I will enjoy it. Thanks for keeping us all informed. I appreciate it.

I copied the video and Cd today, and will stop by the post office to mail it after I drop my little one off at Kindergarten this afternoon.
By the way, don't you dare!! You have given so much already...your beautiful lyrics combined with Duncan's beautiful voice has brought so much joy to my life over the last year!! Thank you for the opportunity to do something for you!!!! It's truly my pleasure.
Hope you enjoy!

Tina,

You're so cute .... I e-mailed you last night... my computer has been on the fritz and as always have had a few other things to deal with, but I've finally reached a rest period!!

Was "lover from hell" and "court and spark" from Idiot's Delight?? I thought I remembered having it from someplace else... Maybe I'm confused... I'll have to go check it out...

Hey Britt,
I have totally confused myself!! Steven, if you are reading this, I accidentally sent you Idiot's delight instead of Ground zero. Thanks for mentioning something Britt, or I would have never realized what I just did! I do have the Ground Zero thing somewhere too, so Steven, when I find it, I will mail that also.
So sorry for the confusion, but I'm an old lady -- my mind is pickled!
I did send the correct video though!

Ok, problem solved!! I found the correct cd, so it will go in the mail tomorrow, Steven (I mailed the other one today). Sorry for the mix-up, so you'll be getting 2 packages from me...sorry, again. But thanks to Britt for bringing it to my attention!!!
