Heh, cute way of wording it; narrowing it down to the state. Hehe, yeah i was at the boston show and i must say it rocked!! Who else was there?? Hehe, if you were there and up front i was the kid who when duncan looked to Gerry and said what song should we do i screamed out "WISHFUL THINKING!!!" and he looked at me and said ok we've got a request coming up. Haha, that was great. I also yelled some other stuff like "SPOOKY GHOST ROCKS" during the intro to Rubbed Out, hmm what else lol Oh yeah, Duncan grabbed a guitar and strummed one chord and i could hear it was the tuning for Mouth on Fire, so i yelled that and he looked at me and said heres another request, haha.. After the show, i waited in the crowd of peeople to see him and when i got to him i told him i met him at the providence show and i gave him a CD with a video i made for longing town.. hehe Duncan is the coolest guy honestly, and there isnt much more i can say about him im at a loss of words, he's great!

My boyfriend went to the show for me like promised because I'm stuck here in stinkin' NYC. Blah.

Overall, he said the show was amazing. He even got to met the Duncanster after the performance! He showed Duncan a picture of himself and I and Duncan just laughed. The best part is that my BF asked Duncan to take a picture with him and of course he obliged Now I have a picture with my two favorite guys! hehe... I'm a dork, I know.

Duncan also said that is was really sweet that he went to the show for me and acted as my music correspondent/ photographer.

As for the photos, he took an entire roll at the show and he's going to get them devopled with prints and a CD disk today. I'm gonna post them as soon as I receive 'em! Keep your eyes peeled.

Rock on!

I was also at the Boston show, though I wasn't supposed to be originally. But I finagled my way out of work that day and I must say I am so glad I did! Doug Yole was a great drummer, and the support that Jerry Leonard gave on guitar and Jeff Allen on bass was spectacular. I was right up front the whole time and Copley Square is a great place for concerts, because the most random people wander in and out, anyone from punks to businessmen! The setlist was 1) Mr. Chess 2) Nothing Special 3) She Runs Away 4) Rubbed Out 4) Serena 5) A Mirror in the Heart 6) Barely Breathing 7) End of Outside 8) Wishful Thinking (by request) 9) Home 10) Mouth on Fire and 11) Radiohead's Fake Plastic Trees. It was a great setlist and had some of my favorite songs in it!

Duncan was laid back the entire show and even took a second out here or there to wave and smile for people's pictures. He's such a great guy! His voice was just as great live as it is recorded, which impressed me. The versions of the songs were really neat, because of the "plugged" quality of the band, making songs like "Home" take on a whole other feel. Too bad there was no string ensemble though! Hehe...

Anyway, to Maria (galore4)...it's really funny that you mentioned your story because when I met Duncan after the show I was standing right next to your boyfriend! It was a really sweet scene to behold and it's awesome you have someone like that thinking about you! I have one too but work kept us from both seeing the concert together. I brought my Humming Along CD along with me and Duncan was like, "Hey that's cool you have this!" I got to ask him what key She Runs Away is in (I'm a music major and I've had a long-running argument with a friend about this) and come to find out I was right! Hehe, Duncan and I are on the same wavelength! I was wicked happy.

I've been a fan of his since the first time I heard a tiny sample of Barely Breathing on an MTV commercial way back in the day! He's so awesome and cool and everyone needs to go see him whenever possible! His performances are flawless and his music is everything beautiful. Cheers!

Oh yeah--Acoustic Junkie: I was only sitting a couple people behind you (random bleach blond guy near the garbage can) and I heard you yelling out all kinds of stuff! I knew it was Mouth on Fire as soon as I heard the tuning too--it's great to see that people are just as attentive to the music as me! Rock on...ECP

Hey Acoustic Junkie,

I was at the show too. And coincidentally, I was sitting almost directly behind you. I was the guy with the video camera, wearing the dark gray v-neck t-shirt and khaki pants. It's cool to be able to attatch a face to those who will be working on the Duncan tribute project.

Take care,

Grant
