Hey Molly, your energy is spreading over throught the computer moniter! I feel like I'm going to see him soon and I live in RI! Have fun! If you get a chance to meet him try to remember how unpretentious he is, that way you can be less nervous. You're so lucky.

Wishing you a great time,
Amy

Okay the show was last night and I cannot stop buzzing. I am in total shock. This was a benefit performance and there were other acts before him (basically little kids twirling in leotards, it was adorable) so I wasn't like two feet away from him during the performance. BUT! I could still feel his presence radiating. It was so overwhelming, I sat there and cried while he performed four songs (Wishful Thinking, Mr. Chess, Barely Breathing, and Mirror in the Heart). I could not stop crying and I felt like an idiot. THEN!!!!! He came out afterwards to sign autographs. He walked through the crowd like he was just another person, thats when I caught his eye. He is so amazingly beautifully wonderfully emotionally captivating. Everyone stopped and looked, then he was instantly surrounded. I immediatly lost my place in line and had to wait a while, but it was all right. I just watched him smile and have a good time. Then this girl in front of me turned around (I was crying again) and said "This girl is so happy to see you." And i was. I gave him a lei, and he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. He told me "at least tell me your name" and i managed to stammer out Molly. He signed my Humming CD To Molly Big Kiss Duncan Sheik (he signed everyone elses XXX OOO, so I felt special). Then I told him that he had no idea how many nights I have stayed up crying to his music. "It's all right. I cry too sometimes." I hugged him again and walked away on air. One of the happiest nights of my life. Duncan if you are reading this, I never got a chance to say thank you so Mahalo nui loa. Much love and aloha to all~ Molly

Molly,
That is such a sweet story.. I'm so happy for you.. What an awesome memory!!

I wish I had the courage to go up and tell Duncan how much his music means to me. Every time I see him, I can't seem to say a word..

I know what you mean Britt. Everytime I see Duncan I try to plan out what I am going to say ahead of time but it never works out. I always get too nervous to say anything and chicken out. I'm like "Uhh, can you sign this for me?" and that's about it! I don't know why I get so nervous though. He is so down to earth and such a sweet person. I'm sure he knows that though!

Oh My! What an incredible experience! You even got a kiss!

I'm thinking of the song, "Nicherin" (so sorry if spelled incorrectly) right now. The last line of it goes, "change a heart, change the world". Meeting Duncan is just like that. I remain enchanted from meeting him.
My outlook on life has totally been affected by such kindness.

Hope the magic stays with you!

Best Wishes,
Amy

Hi Molly,
I don't know if you took any pictures at the Victory Over Violence show but log on to this website (www.geocities.com/wildkardmedia/fycf)and you can see some photos of Duncan.
I went out with Duncan after the show. He wanted to eat sushi so a couple of us took him and his music partner Gerry to Sushi King on King Street (near University Ave). We had a great time. He's a great person!
