I have many but let's start with these:

"and you are another mystery I'm missing" I just love that part to death., and the part with.....

"Come on let's fall in love." That's just really super great. It's the way Duncan sings these words. Yes, his honestly in his words. It's very real and quite beautiful you see.

And Duncan's plea for, "And I want her to Heal Me."

Hmmmmmm, I could do that.

Count me in too girls...I think Duncan's voice is so mellow and soothing.
I love this whole cd. I have a copy in the car and in the house so it's all I've been listening to. I've even got my 10 year old son hooked..(he does the cutest "on a high" lip-sync thing)

Pretty much the whole song "For You" makes me melt. It is so sweet and romantic. Nothing is more romantic when a georgeous guy with a wonderful voice can sing his plea for the love of a woman.
He rocks!

The chorus for On Her Mind - I sure as hell want peace but I sure as hell don't make it And Such Reveries... it's lovely how everything gets referred back to the title.

Something I like that I've noticed about the whole CD is how in every single song there seems to be an interesting twist at the end. Its a lot different than the other albums and I like how it runs on a theme. That's my favorite part of the lyrics, anyway

dito . . . my favorite line is "and i want her to heal me". i wonder if that's the real meaning of life . . . finding someone to heal you and return the favor.

also every word in "for you". the next big 'make-out' song?

but my fav song is still "half-life". in the last 7 years i have felt the need for 'resuscitation'.

this album is very 'romantic' and soul-full, i am sure it will touch us all differently.

I love every word of For You! And I also love it when he says "we are surrounded, by a bunch of f'n clowns" I always rewind and listen to that a million times. It always makes me laugh.

That line "We are surrounded by a bunch of f**** clowns" also makes me giggle, considering I work in a psychiatric hospital and hear and see some strange things that make me feel that way sometimes. Dont get me wrong, I have respect for the mentally ill-- they do have an illness, but sometimes you have to have a sense of humor b/c you just dont know where some of their ideas come from-- space delusions, religious delusions. It's quite an experience.

"It's great if you're early, but it's fine if you're late." as it follows "There's a golden ring and I want you to have it."

It makes me want to have that peaceful kind of patience while I wait for the man to give me my golden ring. I see it not as a specific instance of waiting (as in Thursday at 7 pm) but as an attitude of hopefulness (as in, there's someon eout there for me and it's just a matter of time). *sigh* Oh, to be in love!

I know this is not from "Daylight" but... their all interelated anyway so....... I give some words from and believe probably Duncan's very best song written....... the words, "She Rubs it out.....she covers it over." "She rubs it out."

That's undoubtedly The Best. (And Julian and I are going to do it for you if he gets his work done.

Peace.m

"cause you are my treasure, a love that astounds, the end of my searches. my looking around, no more looking around"

"the river is moving, moving through me -
the river it shines inside"

This is too hard - every song has at least one phrase if not the entire song that just blows me away! aarghh!!

Lordy, oh Lady there be so many! But let me just say that this album- in my opinion- is his best WRITTEN thus far. I think he's really progressed in that “laying word” aspect- but then again, maybe it's MY head?
But here are just a few of the ones that give me chills on a hot day:
The entirety of "On Her Mind"... the whole tee-shirt thing is so honest and very open. Very cute- reading into things, over analyzing little nothings… Oh was it just a casual ‘hi’ today?- Very human. Very cool.
Really enjoy the line in "On a High" that says "I have the sun- it's a star, why should I refuse it?" That one made me laugh.
I think the whole, "I want her to heal me" is pretty damn BIG coming from a "never seek happiness outside of yourself" Buddhist.
All of "Magazines"- and I may just emphasize on that line in which he sings, "with all that naked skin as sweet as honey"<---- that “honey” part... hehehe. You know what I mean.
The line in "For You"... "It's great if you’re early but it's fine if you’re late" very cool- very “Little Hands.” Also really love, "it's an infinite world and I want you." (that piano piece there still makes my head spin!)

But of course, these are only a few... All of the songs are lovely and beautiful and so very Duncan- which is probably the very best part.

' I wondered if I would be punished for my voyeuristic pleasure'

' all that naked skin as sweet as honey'

'The river is sweet sweet wine'

'It takes so much out of me to pretend'
