Hey Guys, I was just thinking if I could figure out my top 3 pet peeves out of the dozens I have and I've come up with: 3. Gum anywhere beside the mouth (Still in college people stick gum under the seats, that's so distasteful) 2.Dirty apartment (house, etc). That's just nasty! And #1 pet peeve.... WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 PET PEEVES? IP: Logged |

I have too many, I think my top 3 are: 1. People who speak English, but do not in public places...Especially when they ask if you speak the language first. When I was in high school, it was primarily Greek speaking, and people always would say "Do you speak Greek?" When i would say no then people would then speak in Greek. 2. Okay I think everyone knows this one upsets me to no end, stupid GD cell phones. I mean I totally get for emergancies, and I do have one for that purpose (of which I seriously have used an average of 5 seconds per month over the past 6 months). But if you are that unable to be out of touch with people lock yourself in a house with them. It is just in my mind a sign of horrible manners, especially when you are with someone else and talking on the phone. And number 3: Okay this is also one of my obsessive pet peeves...Parking...In Toronto we have to park on the street, a lot of houses do not have driveways and there is this whole permit process, where you have to pay for permits in order to park on specified streets, ie I live in 9A, therefore my permit it is for 9A and if your permit does not match or you do not have a permit you are supposed to get a ticket, but they rarely inforce this in my neighbourhood, and because I live close to the subway people park here and go downtown, which means often I end up parking three blocks from my house, which drives me insane, I pay hundreds of dollars a year for the ability to park and rarely get a spot... My top three pet peeves are ( and it's hard to get them down to three so they are not in an order) 1. Slow/ Bad Drivers 2. My remote control when it does not work properly 3. People who do not wash their hands after using the bathroom. ( I am sorry that is just SO gross and i have been known to tell people that) Crystal ~~~~++++~~~~ IP: Logged |

Jenn... I know what you mean with the cell phone business, but I honestly need to have one! My parents started making me carry one a long time ago because they like to be able to call me if I'm going to be out until 3... Now for the topic. 1) Bad hygiene. There is no excuse. IP: Logged |

I don't have many pet peeves...but one thing I cannot stand is arrogance. I just want to backhand the guilty party across the face....and I'm against violence! ![]()

Ericka, sorry when I was your age I would have had my ass kicked if I was out until 3 am. And even at 24, because I do live at home, I see it as being respectful to my parents not to be out at such an hour. And sorry what are you doing at 3 am that could not be done prior to that? (oye you would think I was a mother) And the need to have a cell phone does not over ride the poor manners most people display when using a cell phone. well back in washington DC, i went to shows a lot. if there were a lot of bands on the lineup that night, and the doors open at 9:30, then the show would not end until 1:30 or so. but i always took the metrorail to DC, and i lived in fairfax, which was at the end of the line... so yeah combined with the time it takes to drive home, it took me awhile to get back. especially since my friends and i had to drive super carefully because kids under 18 aren't allowed to drive between 12am and 4am. my mom usually doesn't hassle me about it because i'm just hearing music. i'm not doing any of the dumb shit that most 16 year olds are doing. and because i had a phone on me so she could always get in touch with me i didn't stay out until 3 most nights though. only when there were several bands playing instead of 2-3. haha. good point. but in virginia, that is only a secondary offense. it can only be added to a ticket for doing something else like speeding. IP: Logged |

I totally agree about people and their annoying cell phones. I actually think I must be one of the last people on earth to not own one. Actually, a couple weeks ago when I was in NYC, it would have come in handy - my mom wanted me to let her know I'd gotten there ok, but the hotel charged 10.00 for the first minute of phone use, and 2.00 for each additional minute! I swear that's the only time I've ever wished for one. The other thing that drives me crazy is when people are late. Especially those who are consistently late. I find it totally disrespectful to keep someone waiting. I am ALWAYS punctual, and it makes me feel as if the other person is saying that my time just isn't as valuable as theirs, and that I have nothing better to do than sit around waiting for them! ok. I have thought long and hard about this.... 1. Disregard for others. I mean, seriously, that sums up everything I ever get pissed off about. Friends who don't call unless they need something....don't return phone calls....people who cut me off on the highway just to prove they can....people who cut people off in lines to get out of parking lots (!!! This is one reason I don't like to go to concerts)....total disregard for those around you is just rude and gets on my nerves. arg. 2. Pigstyism. I'm not a neat freak. I don't claim to be a very clearly organized person, but letting food lie around, dust collect endlessly....that's just gross. It's also unhealthy for everyone. 3. Well, I can't think of anything right now, but I'm sure I will add a number three later. IP: Logged |

Well, I can only think of one for the moment(I'm sure there are more) but what I really can't stand is those commercials where dogs or cats or chimpanzees or whatever are dressed like people and they make them look like they're talking and things. Gaaaaa! It just makes my skin crawl. IP: Logged |

Hi all! Bringin' this one back up again.... My biggest pet peeve will flare up if I go to my cd collection, find the one I want, only to find the case EMPTY! My hubby is forever mixing and matching his cd's...apparently they don't need to be put away properly in his world..sighhhhhh, but he forgets that most are MY cd's, heheh...there is no such thing as a 50/50 split when it comes to musical tastes. For the record tho', I should receive some sort of award or something as he is a total Dead Head (Kennedy's fan) and is now quite happy to listen to good ol' Duncan!! HURRAH!! IP: Logged |
