hi Duncan! Sounds great the trip. Also because more people will get to know the marvelous Phantom Moon. You´re such a great artist, one of my favorites. I love all your work, so deep and heart-touching. Try to come someday to Mexico. You´re great man! IP: Logged |

Hello Duncan, Have a wildly exciting European trip. No doubt that you will. Hey, when you’re done promoting your new album there, come to beautiful Little Falls, NJ and promote it here. I would love to catch a show. Last time I saw you was at Bimbo’s in the mid 90’s. I will probably be able to catch you at Village Underground, but I was thinking the Loop Lounge. Come Home. Take Care IP: Logged |

Duncan; I'm not normally one to fawn over the celebrity, but after having listened to your humming disc, I wanted to at least say thank you. What a wonderfull compilation. I am going to purchase your latest C.D. asap. I have also played it for my friends in the Central Washington Chapter. I am looking forward to a Pacific Northwest tour, and would enjoy doing a round o' daimoku with you. Enjoy Europe IP: Logged |

Hi duncan, I just wanted to wish you well on your trip. I know you get a lot of messages like this but my name is Danielle and you are going to be in Pittsburgh on my 23rd birthday. If you would sing Fake Plastic Trees I think it would make the day absolutely perfect. The show is on April 22, 2001. (I don't know, I thought I'd give it a shot.) Reasons for living is a lovely song and still gives me chills every time I hear it. Be safe, Danielle IP: Logged |

Okay, I tried to say what I wanted to say, but it didn't come out right, so I'm going to start over. Duncan, my name is Rebecca Green, and I am a poet. I always listen to your music. It hyponotizes me and inspires me with my own work. When I listen to the lyrics in my headphones, i seem to drift away...I can connect every word in my soul with some unknown power in my heart and soul that I can't quite remember...I feel like I've met you before, yet I have the yearning to meet you again. You have always been my idol. I have never seen you face to face that I can remember, but, even when I look into a mere photograph; when i look into your eyes i can see hurt. Your eyes give off the same enegy as mine...it's almost like we've gone through the same things. You're words touch me, they speak to me. They really mean something to me. please, Duncan, please, I beg of you, e-mail me. I need to talk to you. I don't know what yet, but there's something I've been trying to figure out for a long time, and I think I may have just realized it. deathspirit72@hotmail.com [This message has been edited by ForeverLostinSilver (edited April 01, 2001).] IP: Logged |

Bon voyage! Will you go to France? to the UK? Might you tour there - if so, when - and will it be posted on your website (even if the dates aren't in the US)? I am telling ALL my friends to come and track you down to encourage global listening to your amazing voice and profound lyrics. I really love the duet you did with Howard Jones, by the way.It is so sweet. Keep up the great work - it sounds so contrite, but life would be infinitely duller without your CD's in my car ... Uh oh, sensing hostility here... You might want to watch your back in the message board parking lot, FV. Rabid Donuts may be stalking you if they got to read the posts you made before you edited them like I did. *Courtney* IP: Logged |

Yes, the message boards are here for both criticism and praise. Yes, you are allowed to express an opinion to others. But why, if you feel so intensely about this, are you deleting everything you write? I am sorry, but that seems like a contradiction to your own post about not being temporary. Sure, Duncan or the moderator just as easily could have deleted you because of conflicting opinions, but you did that yourself... Furthermore, you appear to be blowing off steam here more than anything. If you really enjoyed Phantom Moon, why not post something constructive as well instead of just venting? It would be nice to have people seeking out a favorite artist online to express thanks and wonder than to publicly air their "beefs" about that person. No matter what is posted here by you FV or others, the world suffers too much from lack of inspiration and compassion for me to place any doubts in Duncan. He truly enriches my life. I take his music and apply that same passion towards living my own life. I am not lonely and I do not moon over Duncan, but I do appreciate him for his artistry and his importance to myself and others. I never intended to cut you down, FV, but why do you insist on doing so to me and to the people who frequent these boards? *Courtney* [This message has been edited by equestrienne (edited April 03, 2001).] IP: Logged |

OOOOOOhhhhhhhh..... Europe, I'm so jealous of you right now, Duncan! I think I understand you about the whole new perspective thing, I get that just by crossing state lines, never mind the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps you can tell a little detailed account of your European trip, in concert at Lupos Heartbreak Hotel, you know like, VH1's "Storytellers" (and please bring back the couches). Hope your having fun while, working hard no doubt. Cheerio, Amy IP: Logged |

Freaky, Freaky, Freaky... yes that's perceptive, but what does it matter? It will be deleted by tomorrow and you will be back to an endless stream of random characters on this board. Sorry, but if you post personal or inciteful things on a Net message board and then become upset when someone questions you about them, why were they posted here in the first place? What did you expect? Also, I would be happy to snail-mail you a diary to write in... *Miss Horses* IP: Logged |

Four Songs tonight Duncan. They came very quickly. E-mail me. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Distance comes between us. Your smile, I've seen. Find the time, find the time. I've searched over the streets, Only remembering, your sweet face. Oh the yearning, this constant burning. I long for you so, I only yearn so slow. A smile, a laugh, a memory of you.
