BryterLayter77	Now for something a bit off topic.... In my life, I haven't done much traveling, but I would like to do so in the future. I've always wanted to see London, perhaps because I like some of the Britcoms I see on my PBS station. I know its not a good reason, but for some reason, I want to see London. Now for something on topic.... Why are you in the UK Ericka? How long are you there for? Richard
ericka	I don't live in the DC area anymore... I live in London until I graduate high school. England sucks because it is not in America. Nuff said. Richard... don't come to London! They will just tell you to piss off because you are American.
Aquagirl	London is cool. I loved it when i was there but i only say all the touristy stuff. the only thing I dont miss is the dirty air. really. and I live in a very polluted city. alma
aileen	Erika when did you move to London and why did you move? Hopefully it will get better as you go along and get to meet some people. I am sure with your musical talent you can find some mates and get something going over there and then we can say we knew you when. No seriously, give it a chance. Once school starts and you can meet some people I think you will like it much better.
ericka	aw, aileen, you are a sweetheart. my stepdad's job was transferred over here, so yeah. i just kind of had to come along. i got here about a week ago. our shipment of stuff hasn't come yet so i'm getting kind of antsy sitting in this half empty house cause 1) i obviously don't know anyone yet and 2) i don't have much of an interest in doing the touristy stuff. i know things will definitely be better when school starts... except for the part about being in school i think i might start looking for a job soon, so that'll improve things definitely...
BryterLayter77	I know you will make friends and become very popular, Ericka. With your personality, you won't be without friends for long. People will like you, especially when you talk about their moms. Maybe I'll come visit you in London one day. Someone told me that I have a pretty good British accent. galore4	Hey E! I hope things are getting better for ya. You're mad cool... keep your chin up! It'll get better, I'm sure. Have you seen any shows yet? One of my favorite musicans, Hawksley Workman, ALWAYS plays in London He's never, ever in the states!! So, right there alone you got something in your favor. haha. He's soooooo good. ericka	You guys are too nice! I'm going to apply for a job at some of the indie record stores around here next week... Wish me luck! I found this one in Notting Hill that is right by my new school, so that is wayy convenient if I can get a job there... One thing that's really frustrating here is that there is so much music, but also so much drinking... In DC I could go see every show that I cared to see because clubs like Black Cat and the 9:30 Club are all ages, or the shows were at small community centers where there is no drinking at all. But England doesn't seem to mess around with any of that handstamp crap, and if you can't drink, you can't hear the music. Everything seems to be 18+. I'm going to just show up to see Dashboard Confessional next week and hope that they let me in without asking for ID. I hear that England is sort of relaxed about the rules... But if I can't get into any shows, it will make my stay here very looooooooooooong. Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Folds, Norah Jones, Fugazi, The Annniversary... all favorites of mine that are going to be here in the next couple months!

ericka	My school here is a Facist regime posing as an academic program. Someone should warn the administration that teenagers need social lives. However, here is the good part. I'm taking IB Business, and when people ask me what class I'm going to, I can say, "biznass." Except I don't think English people will find that nearly as fun as I do.
