erickaI bought her album, "Come Away with Me," today, and I like it very much. Anyone else?
KmelNV1I heard the first single a couple of months ago, and I really liked it although I haven't gone and bought the cd yet. But I am hearing good things about it from those who have it.
Kris
serenasheikAbsolutely she is amazing!!
georgejrOne listen to her CD and you will want to marry her. That woman could make burping the alphabet sexy.
sweetsnailhehe. That is a fantastic review George. I want to get the cd. I will try to get it as soon as I can.

georgejrIn all seriousness, it's a fantastic CD. I DO NOT like country music but her cover of Cold Cold Heart is terrific. I highly recommend it...along with the new Beth Orton, Daybreaker. Pick em up
MangotigerlilyYes I agree. Norah Jones is very nice, plus she does some very nice work live, which some can not claim to do. She is very mellow, and I love that about her music.

Crystal ~~~~++++~~~~

erickaher cover of "cold cold heart" is one of my favorite tracks on the cd, but my absolute favorite would probably have to be "shoot the moon."
JessicaBI don't have the CD, but I like the single. I also think it's interesting that she is Ravi Shankar's daughter. From what I've heard of her music, I'm surprised (and delighted) not to hear a direct instrumental influence.

The first single makes me want to relax in a bubble bath....

"There is no chance at all. We are all trapped by a singular fate. No one ever finds the one."

georgejrInterestingly, there was an article about her in Rolling Stone a few months ago and she does not have much of a relationship with her father. She was introduced as his daughter at a TV show in Europe and it apparently really bothered her since he was not around when she was growing up and does not want to be second-generation celebrity or something. So I do not see and Norah Jones/Ravi Shankar duets in the near future. Which, Jessica, I agree with you, it's nice not to hear it in her music. Although Ravi Shankar did play with U2 at one of the London ZooTV concerts during "Bad" and it is extraordinary. But really...how would "Don't Know Why" sound with a sitar in the background?
BlackwuzzyPreviewed it. To me, everything sounds the same which in my opinion is boring. (Not much versatile in her voice or style)

***** I agree about the new Beth Orton CD, "Daybreaker." Now that's excellent, even though with her strong accent... it's hard to make out what she's saying at times. I saw her do that in concert recently. It's a great CD.
