Cara ~I Died then my instince was born~ The voilins are so powerful - it really moves me everytime I hear it. . . . Kathleen [This message has been edited by CelticLady (edited March 27, 2001).] *Courtney* It's one of the very best musically. adam forgive the nonsenses, plz MeganCara Thanks for the great return!! Songs like House Full of Riches on Humming were my favorites, and I'm thrilled to hear the orchestrations and recuring elements of songs like that to be the focus on your new release. japped I also love House Full of Riches. I really love the whole album. Phantom Moon is growing on me, but with Humming it was an instant love. L'Arc En Ciel Yeah House Full of Riches was off da hook! It was my favorite song along with Alibi. Bite your tongue..and the first song...damn I dont know whut it's called*L* I LOVE DUNCAN. SO don't get me wrong you guys! I love his music soo damn much. I just don't know the names to most of the songs on Humming. I know most of the ones On Duncan's first cd. I know all of them on Phantom Moon. Yeah it took a couple of days for Phantom Moon to grow on me. THen it just took me away. I thought it was interesting that Duncan isn't writing his songs anymore. Whut drove him to do that?! Maybe I should ask him or something*L* swingheil Humming is my favorite Duncan album but for me I must of listened to it probably 15 times before I liked it. I thought musically it was very different from the first & I bought it without knowing any of the songs on it, but now I can't get enough. I was determined to listen to Phantom Moon as openly. The first time I heard it, I was afraid I wasn't going to like it....but not the case at all. Once they sink in, it's forever engrained inside me.... CelticLady Hard to pick a favorite but House Full of Riches is it. angie it's a great song, but i don't like listening to it. it reminds me of my ex-boyfriend and how he just decided to move to england one day like it was the simplest decision he had ever made. very sad. Lessa I don't have Phantom moon yet
Hummming was an instant favorite for me, I couldn't stop listening to it for weeks after I got it, well, exept of course to occasionally listen to his first album. Is it really true that Duncan isn't writing any of his songs anymore? that's sad
But I'm sure that who ever duncan would pick to write them for him does a great job too, or duncan wouldn't of picked him
equestrienne He is supposed to writing for his next Atlantic album already (info from Steven Staer and the DS website). I am looking forward to that, since I think I enjoy the lyrics most of all.

<I<IMangotigerlily Well, House Full Of Riches is this powerful song to me, especally the line "Demons are working overtime" It shows that peole can have these things inside of them trying to destroy themself. That's sort of like me at the time it came out. kelly I just bought the Humming CD last week after watching Three To Tango (Matthew Perry). Duncan's song "That Says It All" was the last song played in the movie. I loved it, so I bought the CD. I have been listening to Humming non stop ever since. I have read here that everyone else feels the same way,,,can's get enough. But what really got me, after falling in love with practically all the songs, (Rubbed Out is me)I am (I can't really find the word I want to use) with House Full of Riches. Every time I listen to that song I get chills all over. And when you get them....even in your face...you know its (again...searching for a word to describe). The whole album is amazing. It has added so much to my life.
thanks DuncanBlackwuzzy I'm glad I got to see Duncan play piano and do this song. Damion123 You got to see Duncan perform that! Damn, you, Black wuzzy! I'm so envious!
I've never been to a concert, and I really want to go to one of Duncan's concerts! Anyway, I am obssesed with that song. I guess because for the most part, my life is like that song. .....dying.... anyway, L'arc en Ciel, are you the L'arc en Ciel who wrote "heaven's drive" or just a fan? If you really are him, I am really glad to be in your presence....sort of...hahahaha
! okay, I'll be quiet now.j.r.piskorski HOUSE FULL OF RICHES is my hymn... the lyrics have everything to do with me "I'm not a worthy man" sometimes is sort of my mantra, even before I knew the song. And the chorus seems like written about me and my doubts about everything and, especially, the wrong choices. The violins and everything just move me very much, it's like being struck by a gigantic wave. Perhaps more like and orgasm, it just grows and grows and grows until it explodes within yourself. Only in sex we don't scream the chorus. But the first two words would make sense, don't you think?
<<Rodolfo>>sheikfreek84 I know it's been a while since anyone talked about "House Full of Riches," but it's my favorite. I just joined today and it's good to know other people like this song too. Mr Writer House full of riches is the BEST song in humming. And as many of you, I also feel connected with the lyrics so much. The music, his voice, everything, such a PERFECT song! Wishful Thinking I like "In Between" the best. I love the lyrics. Especially "I feel a little undefined but I want to let you in." It is a great song in every respect. One of my favorite songs of all time. I also like "Varying Degrees of Con-Artistry." "House Full of Riches" is my and my best friend's song. We even wrote a hilarious parody and sang it for our badminton team. Humming might be my favorite Duncan album, but I am not sure. I love that they all have their own vibe.
