- Joe Its kinda like when Garth Brooks did that "Chris Gaines" thing. I like it though. How the hell did you find that? Its superhigh quality too! I have linked to the file at duncansheik.org on the Audio Page the lyrics page is up now too. [This message has been edited by tdoglovin (edited August 10, 2002).] My Vicarious Bliss feat. Duncan Sheik & Andy Gardener Mix; prog It seems there is a musical group called Vicarious Bliss. I am not positive..but it seems this song is actually theirs and they are featuring Duncan on this track. I think he is the one talking on the track too. He has an original way of saying things with an "i" and "u". I'd put money on the fact that it is him. The effect on the speaking vocals sort of throws me off. maybe I am wrong---but it looks that way to me. I have an mp3 of a song called 'My Vicarious Bliss'. Duncan is singing in the chorus, and it kind of sounds like him in the verses as well, but I have reason to believe that it's not him. I'm not sure. The best way I can describe it is a very odd song. The first time I heard it, all I could think was "what?". It's got kind of a techno thing going on. Anyway, I'm going to e-mail tdog the link and let him put it on his site. If anyone has already heard it, please post what you thought. I'm kind of curious how others felt about this song. tdoglovin good lord! I could hardly believe it was Duncan! The talking thing threw me off guard! WOWSERS! tdoglovin I found out some thing KaczMan I think you're right. The only thing I could find out about it is at http://www.justmanaging.com/plati.html . Mark Plati did the mixing and programming for the song, he also did some work on Humming. tdoglovin yeah, that link is where I got the facts that I put in the post a few minutes ago. The "artist name" column says "Vicarious Bliss" so that makes me think the band is named such. The other reason I think that is because it say "feat. Duncan Sheik" KaczMan As if that wasn't weird enough... I found a DJ called "Kid Loco." This guy did a remix of the song. If you go to http://www.kidloco.com/screens/radioloco.html and listen to Mix #2, it's about 9:20 into it. This thing just keeps getting weirder. caladesi that is just the most interesting and different thing i have heard with duncan on it... it sounds almost 80's duran duranish with the bass stuff going on. great find! Ooblek My gosh, that is bizarre! Thanks to Kaczman and Tdog for bringing this to our attention - you're both awesome! tdoglovin Kid Loco is a french DJ. I have heard some of his other stuff. It's pretty rare. I have seen all sorts of information on a group called "Vicarious Bliss Smooth Soul Dub Symphony" and Kid Loco has mixed several songs like that. I wish we knew more about this. Its a big ole mystery. savetheturtles Woah, that song is craziness! The chrous is kind of catchy, though. Wonder what year it's from? duncanfan Thanks guys...kind of catchy, don't ya think?
