Just wanted to let you know of an encounter I had with a cover of one of the songs off of Duncan's debut album. After class today, I stopped by the campus theatre building in order to pick up an extra program from the college's Spring production, ''A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum'', in which I watched last Thursday (it is for a play review I'm supposed to write for my drama appreciation course, FYI). Anyway, as I passed through the hallway on the way to the box-office, I came upon a small group of students shootin' the breeze between classes and heard, among this eclectic group, the all-too-familiar chords to a certain Duncan Sheik song called ''Home'' being played by a lone acoustic guitarist. I thought that was cool, considering how this particular song wasn't one of the album's more popular songs (like, for instance, ''B.B'', ''I.T.A.O.S'' and ''S.R.A''). Has anyone here ever heard a Sheik song (preferably one of his lesser-known ones) played by an anonymous stranger(wait, that's redundant, isn't it)? Well, I'd better get on that review... - Matthew --------------------------------- ''The moon up above me brilliantly shines, I've never been happier watching it glow'' Tina Steve But, for what it's worth, It's MCC in Waco, Steve Y. And, again, I love your version of 'Foreshadowing'! Great, great, great! - MatthewCloudyEden Hello again, everyone! duncanfan That's a really cool story!! Unfortunately, I haven't had any encounters like that...
SteveY What college are you attending? My school has a building called the Forum Building, I was wondering if maybe we went to the same school! CloudyEden When I said the word forum, I actually meant the play, ''A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum'', which is being played at the community college. hummingalong hey, there is actually a very good cover of foreshadowing, and longing town ( a great cover of B.B. as well, but you asked for lesser knowns) that a guy named steve recorded... great stuff and downloadable too!
there's a thread to a link called " a new duncan cover" or something like that... everyone check it out!
