SteveYHey everyone. I had some time between classes so I thought I'd post a message.
I play guitar and sing and every now and then I record some songs on my computer through that cheesey two dollar microphone that comes with the computer. Anyhow, I put together a website that has some of my recordings so far, and I thought I'd post the link for your entertainment! Two of the recordings are Duncan Sheik cover songs. Fun, eh?
If anyone else has recorded themselves doing cover songs or some other sort of tribute to DS, let us all know!
Peace,
Steve
duncanfanI'd love to hear it, but you didn't give us the link.

Tina

SteveYHAHA! After all that, I forgot to post the damn link!
I'm such a moron. anyways, here's the link. Check it out! http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/r/sry110/mymusic.htm
caladesisteve, your bands site looked great and your duncan covers sounded really nice too

BlackwuzzySteve,
You sound Great!!!!!!! That is I really only had a chance to listen to the two Duncan covers. Your guitar playing on Longing Town is excellent and your voice as well. I also really like Barely Breathing. Your voice seems suited for many of Duncan's songs.

Keep up the great work,
Michele.....

I hear a talent in the making.
For sure.

duncanfanI really want to hear Barely Breathing and Longing Town, but for some reason I can't get them to play. What am I doing wrong? Obviously it's not the site, since you all have heard the songs...so it must be me. I'll keep trying SteveY!!
I'm sure they sound fantastic!
Tina
SteveYHey Tina-
If you haven't already, try right-clicking the links for the songs and then click on "Save Target As..."
Hopefully that will work, and thanks for checking it out!

Steve

kaoSteve,
I love Barely Breathing.
I like your original Where Are We to Go as well.
Thank you so much!
duncanfanWow Steve -- You sound great!!! I only had time to listen to Longing Town and BB. I'll listen to the others later.
Thanks!!

Tina

RON!Awesome.

Did you play and sing at the same time? How many takes did you have to do? I've got my cheesy cover of 'That Says It All' that I did for that Duncan Tribute CD which kind of fell by the wayside, you sing a lot better than I do, that's for sure...but I don't know how to convert it to mp3 format and post it online like you did.

Cool stuff!

-Ron

SteveYHey Ron-
Yeah, I sang and played at the same time, in true Duncan style. hehe. Barely Breathing took me a few tries, but Longing Town was a first shot. I re-recorded it better a few days later (i have to wait until my roommate leaves to record so I can have a quiet room), but i never converted that one to .mp3.
I use a program called Cakewalk GuitarTracks2, it has an 8-track mixer and some other cool features. From there, I convert the stuff to .wav. Then, I use MusicMatch jukebox to convert from .wav to .mp3.
I'd like to hear your version of That Says it All!
Peace

Steve
