Keep sending those remixes!
We’ve gotten a bunch more great White Limo remixes, but a combination of Spring Awakening and upgrading the interface on limoremix.com is responsible for the update lag over there. They’re coming, though. I’ll post something when some new ones go up. And, all you remixers: keep sending them in.

Still working on another one. Maybe I can get two in by the time you update. :)

I’m excited to hear the next batch of remixes! And your note motivated me to commit and finish a remix for Shopping, thanks.
David, I think that you and I are still working on the same songs at the same time by total coincidence. What song are you working on next? I’m going to choose a totally different one on purpose! I think that Star-Field or Land will be next for me, but there are a few fundamental things that I have to work out for both…

This is not remix related, but more of a concert request. Duncan, can you please play “Hymn” when you come out to the west coast? Oh, and Danny made a sick remix of “Shopping”. Let’s just say we’re calling you the Notorious S.H.I.E.K. See you soon!

I’m not talented enough. :(

Joel,
Did you open for DS at the Coach House in San Juan?
Charlie,
I’m want to do a jazz redo of “I Wouldn’t Mind”, but I don’t know that I’ll have the time.

Hey David
I did. It was such an honor to share the stage with Duncan.
Btw, I just noticed that I misspelled “Sheik” in my earlier post. Sorry Duncan!

My g/f and I saw you there in February. Good show, man!

I Wouldn’t Mind, jazz version. Sounds cool!
Say, did the Rubeck mix get longer as of a few days ago, or am I going crazy? It’s been a long week, so I’m not ruling anything out at the moment…
Joel, I’ll have to look up your music.

I will get around to this one day I promise.
Hope your well Duncan. :)
Always my best,

David, excellent remix! “All of us want peace” was nestled in very nicely, in its gently sharp way.
There are a couple of great foreign policy books I read in school along those lines, and thought I’d pass the info on to whoever cares: one is by Hans Schmidt about the Haitian Occupation, which has eerie parallels to Iraq. Another is by Joseph Henning — Outposts of Civilization, as I seem to recall — and takes a very similar eye on U.S. actions and attitudes towards Meiji Japan. With the Levant, a thick primer with primary sources, and multiple angles on the formation of Israel, is Walid Khalidi’s From Haven to Conquest. They do read on the academic end, but certainly the more lively side of it, I promise.
Happy remixing, and reading, and living, et tout ??a!
Peace,
Sasha
