The Complete Package
So I actually got my hands on a box of the White Limousine releases with artwork and the DVD and all that.
Rounder did a great job on the packaging (IMHO) so I’m very pleased. Even though the record isn’t out until next week we do have it for sale at the shows … just so you know.

That’s great Duncan. I was pleased (and surprised — update your “places” page!!!) to hear on the radio that you will be back in Philly next month on the 21st (http://tickets.worldcafelive.com/). I also thought you would be happy to hear that the single has been getting a lot of airplay on xpn and they have also been talking up the cd release next week. I’ve preordered and I’m really looking forward to hearing it and possibly seeing you next month. Hope everything is going smoothly. Be well.

I’m really sorry now… here in Argentina, only a few counting me enjoy your music. It’s really hard for me to get a cd… but, like the others great works, i’ll do the impossible to get White Limousine.

Hi Dunc,
Got my tickets in the mail for February 3rd. They allow dinner reservations at Coach House, I think I’ll stuff my face while you stuff my ears…er…so to speak.
I’m very much looking forward to my first DS show and I really want to get a crack at the remix DVD to put my own spin on some songs. I ope there is a centralized place to post these remixes so we can share them with our fellow fans.

I’m very excited about the release! I’ve needed more since I bought the ep at the show in Indianapolis. Also, since they have closed or changed ownership of The Patio; will this mean you won’t come to Indiana anymore? (I hope not!)

duncan and/or anyone else, what can you tell me about the openers for the troubadour show on feb. 4?
will the wine tastings be announced a few days before each show?
diego, how is it in argentina? are you in buenas aires? i stayed in buenas aires and salta for the first time last july. it was freezing (well, about 5 degrees C), but i had a great time. everyone was friendly despite my horrible spanish skills. in fact, i was there on Dia de Los Amigos!
can’t wait till tuesday: white limosine and josh rouse!

I got my hands on a “pre-release” copy today and all I can say is it’s fantastic. Not that I expected any less but after getting my feathers ruffled by some of the political discussions around here lately I thought I might not be able to get past the left leaning bend of the album but the quality of the music superseeds our political differences… In fact “White Limosine” is one of my favorite tracks, that along with “I Don’t Believe In Ghosts”.

Just got back from your fantastic show in Nashville. On behalf of my fair city, I would like to apologize for the drunk idiot that was sitting next to me. I’m sure you remember him. He was the one yelling at you between every song (and during a couple). I knew it was bad when he came in carrying to cans of PBR…

Well… Argentina is fine. I guess we’re doing all we can. The weather is great, about 28 C, I’m living in the center of the country. I was born in Buenos Aires, but, for love, I’ve been moved about 500 miles…

Just so you know, the disc is incredible. three words: worth 3.5 years. I love every second of it.

I have heard fantastic reviews of your new cd including the DVD(make that the entire package)…am still waiting for mine and will be purchased at one of your shows very soon…uuuugh, am not sooo good at waiting(for anything)… :(

I received mine the other day, and it’s beautiful! I love the whole look of it….the sound of it….the order of the songs…the ideas behind the songs….everything about it. I’ve been listening to it every chance I get but still haven’t had a chance to check out the “yours” dvd. I’m anxious to sit down with that when I’ve got some time. What a nice idea to give us that to play around with. :) Thank you once again for the wonderful music. I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…it makes me very happy. Hope to see you and the gang on the East coast very soon. Don’t forget about Revolution Hall in Troy, NY. ;)

Hey Duncan,
I know this is a long shot, replying on a blog entry from almost a month ago.. I figured this topic was most relavant.
Nearly 6 months ago, my GF Jessica and I went to your show in Grand Rapids, MI where she was a long time fan and I was a budding fan. At that show I fell for her and your music at the same time. Since then most aspects of our relationship can be traced back to that night or one of your songs. The song most pertaining to us is “On Her Mind”- mainly b/c we pick each others brains mercilessly.. and are obsessed with collecting concert t-shirts.
If I may humbly ask a favor of a fellow hopeless romantic, could you please play “On Her Mind” at your Bling Pig show on Feb. 16 to mark our 6-month anniversary on the 17th. Besides being one of my fav. songs, I think this would make our evening better than memorable for us- more monumental I think. :)
If you can’t, thanks for reading anyway - and thank you for playing such a big roll in starting our relationship. And if so, THANK YOU from the ENTIRETY of both our hearts.
