More Shows …
We’ve just confirmed some more shows for Oct. and Nov. including a show at Irving Plaza in NYC.
Please go to places i’m playing for more info. These shows will be part of a “Yellow Umbrella” mini-tour in which David Poe, Sarah Bettens and myself will wander over hill and dale gladly singing our songs of joy and redemption. Or something along those lines.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kenneth Noisewater

Dr. Ken,
While you are adding places to play, please consider coming somewhere close to Utah. I know you are hitting California and Arizona, but I go crazy spending twelve hours in a car, even with the comfort of your cd’s to listen too. Are you going to play Vegas. I survived the seven hour trip to see you there.
Sincerely,
Mac

If you would consider, for the sake of a small closeknit gig that would be really awesome (the experience more than the venue…) please play the Saint in Asbury Park, NJ. I know David played there in June (i think it was June) and I missed it unfortunately… Please consider it…pretty close to home in Brick, but I can’t expect a show to be right outside my front door (dream on derek…) Thanks :)

Good going Duncan. I’ll definitely be at the show in Philly….and try for NYC, but that will be a tough one. :)
Cheers & best of luck with all of the new material, etc., etc.

Damn you Water Joe!!!

Just for the record, Duncan never lived in Brick, NJ. That honor befell only myself and our sister, Kacie.
He visited, though. Our dad used to offer him a beer, which, as a kid, I always thought was really cool because I never got offered beer.
I don’t know why I just told you guys that.

Duncan -
I cannot get enough of the quotes man. I couldn’t believe when you guys started to say “I love..” in Chicago and now all I see in your posts are more references to one of the funniest movies. Let’s not forget about James Westfall. Or The Octagon for that matter.
“It’s called Sex Panther by Odeon; it’s illegal in nine countries. It’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good.”

Thank you for sharing Peter. :D
Come to the Albany/Saratoga area Duncan. We have lots of fields for you, David, and Sarah to skip and run and romp and laugh in while holding hands and singing.

Still no Florida dates. The Georgia dates are during the work week. No Duncan for me. Sad..

Awesome news……we will see you 10/17, and I will be buying tix when the World Cafe Live posts the show and offers tham for sale.
And BTW, thanks a lot for the quotes! I almost had my coffee exiting through my nasal passages! :>)

Looking forward to finally being able to catch a show.
But dude. Seriously. Lay off the Anchorman. Seriously.

Again! With the playing in New York! I guess I’ll just have to move instead of waiting for a show in Canada. Wish I could be there.
August 18th, 2005 at 1:10 pm
I think I’ll rent Anchorman this weekend too…I feel like one of the uncool kids.

why rent? I think it’s available InDemand right now. Or is that just an Atlanta Comcast thing? As I’m typing this, the news is on. Am I the only freak who thinks that spending $500 million to put a human in orbit for a week is insane??

Wow, a lot’s happened since I last perused this blog… (Will have to log on here more often from now on… ^_^)
I got an email from Pollstar that showed you’re coming back to Mass. to perform (and Somerville to boot), and your “places I’m playing” page confirmed it. I can’t wait till tickets go on sale, it’ll be great to see you perform again. And I won’t have to drive two hours to do so (as Somerville is close to where I live).
Hope all is well with you.

Duncan….. when are we here in Dallas gonna feel some love? Please, please, please come to Dallas.
August 19th, 2005 at 11:19 am
Dear Ken,
We here in Tristan da Cuhna haven’t seen you in years. We’re only a short boat ride from South Africa (assuming you catch the ferry at the right time of year.) All 300 of our islanders are waiting impatiently. Stop slacking off and get out here. What are you doing with your time, anyway?
August 19th, 2005 at 11:22 am
P.S. Or maybe you would consider a show in Antarctica? You really ought to be more accessible to your fans.
August 19th, 2005 at 11:29 am
Dear Dr. N,
Austin is between Houston and Dallas :-). Come to Texas for sure, but we will all be quite bitter if you decide to perform in El Paso.
The Texan fans are dying slowly from lack of live Duncan…
We need you. Hell, I need you. I’m a mess without ya. I miss you so damn much. I miss being with you. I miss being near you! I miss your laugh! I miss - I miss your scent. I miss your musk. When this all gets sorted out, I think you and me should get an apartment together.
Sincerely,
Lauren

…That’s funny.
O.k. I know this may not be the place for this but I didn’t know if it’d get read in any of the older posts…
Duncan, and any other Elbow fans out there, Elbow’s new single “Forget Myself” will be released on August 29th. It’s available for pre-order on their official site: http://www.elbow.co.uk/index.asp
I’m thinking Maxi CD for myself. :)

Peter - I’ve heard rumors before, but i was stating ‘pretty close to home in Brick’ towards myself cause I live there. It’s hard to see good local shows outside of PNC Bank unless you like Club scene cover bands..which make me cringe. But thanks for the clarification ;) Keep up the good work duncan, and nice new ds.com front page!
