Upcoming B-sides
Three more White Limo B-sides have been mixed and are on the way to the Members Only area.
Duncan mixed The Aftermath, Altered, and Action At a Distance the other night, three tracks from the White Limousine sessions that didn’t make the final version of the record. These three songs will also appear on a Limited Edition EP that will be available for purchase at upcoming shows, so keep an eye out for that, too.
Also, the EP features my sweet art design: BONUS. It’s all about Cooperplate Light up on the EP, partly because I dig it, but mostly because we don’t have any fancy fonts. As always, major ups to Todd Lester without whom neither the Members Only area nor the EP would be realities. Also because he turned me on to the fly solar-powered iPod charger that I’m totally getting for my trek through the Andes trip to the beach.
Anyways, they’re going up in the M.O. soon. I’ll post an update when they’re there.
UPDATE: I forgot. When you’re in the M.O. area, make sure you’re downloading the tracks, not streaming them directly from the site. For you Mac users, that means Ctrl-click / Download Linked File As… (or, alternately, Option-clicking the link, which will automatically download it if you’re running OS X, which you should be) and for you WinDoze folks, Right-click / Save Target As… It helps us conserve bandwith, which helps you be able to download songs faster. Anyway, there it is. Thanks.

What’s with all the “A” songs that are B-sides? Weeeiiirrrrrd. Unfortunately I’ve read some bad reviews about that solar ipod charger, or else I’d be using it myself. Can’t wait to hear some new songs!

As of right now, the EPs will only be sold at the live shows, as Duncan’s going to be travelling around with all the copies there are. If that changes and for some reason we’re able to put them up for sale here, y’all will certainly be the first to know.

I’ve been to other musicians’ shows where the merch counter was selling product like hotcakes after the show but during the show the audience wasn’t exactly enthusiastic or appreciative or didn’t even seem to know the music… do you see what I’m getting at? People will just buy them because they can (and it’s a limited edition) but people on here will be SOL… it’s as annoying as getting shut out of concerts because of scalpers. and that’s where Ebay comes in.

Hey Peter, any chance more copies of the EP could become available other than the ones Duncan is schleping with him to the live shows?? I saw him at the Ram’s Head Tavern back in June (prior to the availability of this EP you mention) and he’ll be back to my neck of the woods smack dab in the middle of my vacation. So, I will miss out. And, so many people on the boards haven’t seen him live because he’s never come to their area. I’m putting in a plug for the EP to be made available for sale to members of this site as a “member’s only benefit”…people will pay my friend.

Actually, Cici…that is a very good point you brought up…DS members should have had the chance to purchase before it is released to the public…wouldn’t it be cool to know that those Limited Edition EPs reside in homes where people who purchased them are “true DS aficionados” not some random person who will give it a quick listen and then that’s it or worse case scenario, someone buying a whole bunch and racks up the price on eBay…okay, thoughts shared…do consider our bit of dilemma here…thanks a bunch for your time and effort. :-)

Howdy from Texas! I’m making a special trip up to Chicago this weekend for Market Days! I was kinda thinking of it early on, but then cashed in those air miles as soon as I saw DS was playing since there are no TX dates currently set. Bonus about the EPs! Suppose DS may be hanging about nearby afterwards? I gotta get that Reservoir CD signed!!

I know maybe i am boring you , but i try to do it the same.
I am a great italian Duncan’s fan as all of you and missed the possibility the only one time that Duncan come in Italy (Neaples) so i ask to the whole of you if a good heart would buy the EP for me (naturally i’ll pay with Paypal the item, the shipping and the disturb).
Some time ago i bought live at the reservoit on ebay for $90 , but this time i don’t want do the same.

I agree with what’s already been said here….I think it’d be a nice gesture to make the EP available in the M.O. section for those on here anxiously awaiting said EP….maybe there’s some reason this can’t be done? I don’t know…But I do know that I’ll be SO disappointed if I miss out on it just because I can’t make any of the upcoming shows. Am I whining?

I also want to add regarding the EP that more than making it available in the MO section to download give the members the opportunity to purchase it in the “The Marketplace is doing fine….” section. I agree with “leveriza” and “Topaz”…. the dedicated fans shouldn’t miss out because they aren’t able to make the shows. And by the way, we all did make recent shows but the EP wasn’t available at that time. We are clamoring fans who have been here for Duncan since the beginning….show us some love : )
