I wasn’t sure if it was spelled “Tonies” or “Tonys” just now, so I googled it, and the NY Times has it as “Tonys”, so that’s what I’m going with.?? It is, after all, the paper of record.

So, there’s a rumor on the new front page of this site?that The Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre will be live blogged on this here blog direct from Radio City and then from the official SA?after-party.? I can neither confirm nor deny, at this point, because the blackberry I was supposed to?borrow for blogging the thing got lost (not by me).? So right now, I’m not sure what’s happening.? Somebody who lives in NYC: please?bail me out and loan me a blackberry for the night so I can properly?record my?snarky and disparaging comments, instead of just thinking them.

So,?anyone who was going to read the thing, check in pre-festivities on Sunday.? I’ll post status updates so you’ll know if it’s happening.? Also, NO ONE say anything about what happens on the Sopranos.? I tried and tried to get them to move the Tonys to Monday night, but theater people feel about TV people the same way Rugby fans feel about Aussie Rules Football fans, so it was a nonstarter.? (I just recently learned??from our?Australian cousin?that Rugby people don’t like Aussie Rules Footie people.??I bet they’d put aside their differences for the Sopranos, though.? I’m just saying; it’s a good show.)

After the Tonys are over and done with, we’re going to decide what to do about this blog thing.? If you’ve seen the new front page, you’ve maybe noticed that the link to the blog is buried in “Archive”.? That’s because we’re not sure what we’re going to do about it.? Duncan just doesn’t have the time to post here with any regularity.? I’m trying to convince him to leave it up and I’ll just start posting more regularly, but that would probably devolve into me talking about things totally unrelated to DS, like southern hip-hop, mixed martial arts and the NBA.? You might not think Duncan, Lil’ Wayne, Renzo Gracie and Gilbert Arenas have anything in common.? They DO.?
